Well, I would definitely say it was a great start for my 2020. The drama would bind you from the very beginning. And when i say - 'the very beginning', I mean it. The opening track, 'The most burning adventure', by Yibo is one of the best track that I have heard in recent time. It totally reflected the upbeat nature of the show. I often moved along its beats.
Now, coming to the story line, it was very smooth, good paced and had something for each and every character. And that must be why, so many big names were a part of it . And before I forget to mention, it had one of the best gripping finale episode. You would rarely expect a cute-romantic show without those extreme action scenes to have such a high dose finale, but for me it surely did. The main pair looked great together. The writers did great work by developing the characters together as well in their individual careers. The female lead, though initially looked a mere doll on the screen, showed bold thoughts by not reducing the importance of her own dreams to be commentator, in front of the hero's. This is how the women should actually be portrayed. She just needed a little bit of confidence boost and the character would have been bang on. We can see good examples of family, friendships and of course, love. Every relation has been portrayed beautifully.
Acting could have been a lot better. However, it was okay considering that the most of the cast were new to this domain. Some of the good moments of the show were - Gu Fang handing over the captaincy to Xiang Kong keeping intact the team spirit that every player should have; then Xia Ling breaking the stereotype of bad step-brothers by caring for Qiu Ying in her each and every phase of life; the reunion of team blazer and off course, the scene of pasting the stickers of each and every team in their jersey of Phoenix, in the finale episode. I also loved the confession that the hero made to his heroine for the whole world to see in the finale episode. In that seen, Xiang Kong had tears in his eyes and the yellow light on face portrayed it beautifully.
Hence, for me it is a definite re-watch.
