My roommate is a detective is a lot lighter and brighter than Killer and Healer which is a lot darker and heavier but both are the same in so many aspects

the detective and the doctor are similar to the detective and black robe in Guardian protective to each other and they both have their own problems that endanger their lives and their loved ones
I know it's too early to recommend similar dramas but from the first 8 episodes I've seen they are a lot similar in dynamic and Bromance not the actual story it's totally different

Ancient detective is a Chinese drama but it's too similar to this one ,, Both have cases in Historical time to investigate ,, Both have good Bromance between the intelligent royal or high class detective and his friend who is lesser than him ignorant and more of a subordinate to him

Both dramas have slight Romantic stories not the main focus but the Brotherhood or the friendship is clearer in them both

It's korean drama but It has similar story and the Go prodigy too
they are very similar in friendship relationships and Go players how their life isn't that easy and they triumph in their game that they love

It's similar from the game aspect and how it can affect the players of this game,, How dangerous it can be and How it can change the person's life

Both drama are based on the story of two best friends who are drifted a part from each other because of their family then reunite again after a lot of hardships and enduring journey ,,, Both drama have strong emotional bond between the two leads and a lot of sad very melodramatic stories ,,, Both are similar in so many ways despite the fact that this was a Korean drama based on true historic events and the other is Chinese based on a BL novel ... I recommend the Korean version so much after watching the untamed
