The cast are amazing at representing a lot of elements from the original webtoon like bullying and inequality in the world. This drama brings a fresh take on the already popular webtoon, Lookism. While the drama eliminates many characters from the webtoon in also brings in many new ones whilst keeping the fundamental characters to play their roles.
The plot is enticing and there are enough cliffhangers to leave you hanging by a thread at the end of every episode. It is quite evident that a lot of thoughts was put into the compatibility of the original story-line and how to translate that to mainstream media. It definitely holds enough re-watch potential that I find myself watching previous episodes waiting for the release of the next set of episodes. Also, not to mention, the soundtrack is quite fire and really catchy for a Chinese drama.

What a beautiful short film!
I honestly have nothing but praise for this piece of work! Off and Gun’s performances were top notch as usual with their chemistry of the charts and the color scheme for the whole thing was so pretty and aesthetic. The film was centered around Off who meets Gun as an alien. Teaching Gun about Earth and the ways of humans, the two grew closer which may lead to other ventures. The time period was set in the 90s I would presume which allowed for the use of a pink/purple warmth in all scenes. It also subtly brings in the theme of bisexuality which I personally think is a nice little touch.
Off and Gun’s chemistry once again shocked me and I found their acting quite heartwarming. I honestly enjoyed this short piece and would for sure watch again later.

A beautiful crime trust story
The Merciless is one of the few gangster crime movies that I've watched that does justice to the complex dynamics involved in a criminal lifestyle where trust is scarce and death is plentiful. Yim Siwan does so much more than justice to his character and every action he performed carried more than a 1000 words. Sol Kyung Gu played the role of the older brother in such a problematic manner that at some point his character found that its own contradictions had led to his downfall. This movie always kept me guessing and really brings up the question of trust and conviction in one's own way and how others fit in that system.
