WATCHER is literally the police version of Stranger. If Stranger was about prosecutors investigating higher up corruption in the prosecution office, WATCHER is about a team of four people investigating corruption in the police force (Do Chi Gwang being the alternate version of Hwang Shi Mok), which most likely also involve corrupt prosecutors in some cases.

I have only one thing to say: Doctor Prisoner is a major upgrade to Defendant in every step of the way for revenge thriller genre. Enjoy the watch!

The smart power play between Dr. Na Yi Je and Dr. Sun Min Shik and others here is similar to the constant power play between Ha Seon and the antagonists in The Crowned Clown. The Crowned Clown has some really intense political twists as well, and every episode is enthralling. Highly recommended!

I wrote this recommendation after completing episode 12 of Confession where there's a big plot twist which I bet many didn't expect. There was also a major plot twist somewhere in episode 8 or something (I don't quite remember). This quality of screenwriting reminds me highly of The Crowned Clown, where the good and bad guys are continuously cancelling each other's chess moves and keeping the viewers hooked in. I rate The Crowned Clown a perfect 10, so you can imagine the quality of screenwriting in Confession when I compare both of them this way.

Both the young male leads are people who entered into their respective professions to seek the truth about the persecution of their father. Remember has a more melodramatic undertone in it, while WATCHER is more investigative and ties up the team's finding into a larger conspiracy organization that corrupts the police force.

Jae Chan in this drama certainly reminds me of Nam Sin III in Are You Human Too? I find both male lead characters incredibly charming in the way they relentlessly protect the female leads. Both dramas also have incredible screenwriting so I'm sure you'll enjoy AYHT as much as you enjoy WYWS.

Extreme Job is a Korean movie, but it breaks the norm in the sense that an action-packed feature need not be serious all the time, but it can also have very effective comedic reliefs. Enjoy the watch!

Both are crime thrillers set in a law drama setting. As for the main leads, the ML in Defendant undergoes a more tragic life event involving himself, while in Confession the tragedy involves his father. Both are exceptionally well-written shows that really must be watched by fans of crime/law dramas. Confession, in particular, is very underrated and deserves more love!

If very clever screenwriting is your weakness, look nowhere else! Both dramas share little in common in terms of the presentational contexts, but the power play twists and turns in both are really spectacular. Greed is a dominant theme in Stranger, but the villains in the The Crowned Clown mostly seek revenge. Stranger starts to pick up its pace from the end of episode 7 upwards, but The Crowned Clown has kept its suspense and momentum since the beginning. In particular, I found The Crowned Clown went a notch higher because of the magnificent portrayal of the dual characters by Yeo Jin Goo who has a very enigmatic screen presence, as well as the veteran actors who play the Enoch and his royal advisor.

Moo Jin Hyeok (Voice) and Kim Young Goon (WATCHER) are literally similar male protagonists who use their position in the police force to find the real culprit who killed their loved one to be able to avenge their death. Both are OCN broadcasts, so you are sure to go in for a thrilling ride!

Don't let the rating average steer you away from giving The Third Charm a chance, read the reviews that are in favour of it first. Go Back Couple uses time travel as a tool to fix the couple's broken relationship (I find this a bit corny), while The Third Charm is a beautiful love story that progresses in a linear 12-year flow. The Third Charm has a more mixed and controversial reception since it started as a rom-com and progressed more as a melo. However, it's a really outstanding slice-of-life that makes you appreciate the complexities of being in a relationship.

The main characters in both movies engage in thrilling action sequences to save lives from the incoming danger. Of course, there's more comedy in Exit and none in Train to Busan, but both are definitely very entertaining and well done in their own genres.
