A Pleasant Surprise!

When I began watching this series, my expectations were quite low, especially since I believed it was a sequel. However, it turned out to exceed my expectations, earning a spot on my best-of-2024 list. It encompasses all the elements I love in a Wuxia and Fantasy series: underdog heroes facing crazy obstacles they must fight their way out of and fun adventures.
The main team of four characters was incredibly likable, each with mysterious and interesting backgrounds and unique talents. The romance was slow burn, but not in a frustrating way because the leading heroes had such a BFFmance going on. I found myself thoroughly enjoying every episode, and it's safe to say there was never a dull moment.

Wow! What a soundtrack and story!

This is a tale of survival that took me on a journey, serving up a platter of diverse emotions. There were moments of uproarious laughter, loud enough for all my neighbors to hear, and times when I held my breath as tears flowed. The story and characters had me completely engrossed. I eagerly anticipated each episode and, by the end, found myself wishing for more than the allotted 12 episodes. I yearned to delve deeper into the lives of the main characters who proved both fascinating and relatable.

And let's talk about the music—it was as impactful as the story itself! The music felt like an additional cast member, bringing power, inspiration, and beauty to the series.

Now, this series has earned a spot on my all-time favorites list. My only gripe is that I wish it were longer.

How appetizing!

Watching Twinkling Watermelon was a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I laughed so loudly at times that I'm pretty sure I disturbed my neighbors, and there were moments when I needed to grab my box of tissues. Regardless of the emotion, one thing was certain—I absolutely enjoyed every moment of it!

I have to confess, I'm a bit biased when it comes to anything related to time travel because time travel shows are just plain fun for me. A series has to be really bad for me to give up and walk away, and Twinkling Watermelon was far from that. Every week, I eagerly looked forward to watching it, and it quickly became a priority over other shows on my list. Usually, in a series, there's a point where it slows down and gets a bit boring, but Twinkling Watermelon never hit that hump. Instead, it always left me frustrated that I had to wait for the next episode. If they had released it all at once, I'm sure it would have taken up an entire weekend for me.

It's difficult for me to pinpoint what I loved most about it—whether it was the captivating main characters, the awesome music, the engaging storyline, the meaningful dialogues that made me rewind to listen again, or the mix of fear and pain with sweet romance. So, I'll just conclude by saying that I loved the whole package—from the beginning to the end, it was a delightful experience.

The best of 2024!

Having watched numerous revenge dramas and stories featuring characters getting a second chance at life, I was pleasantly surprised by the unique twist that Marry My Husband brought to the table. From start to finish, this series was thrilling. Every episode left me eagerly anticipating the next, craving more of the gripping storyline.

What really impressed me was the balanced portrayal of power dynamics between the "good and evil" characters. Unlike some dramas where the main character is bullied until they finally fight back in the end, the main leads in this drama hit the ground with their boxing gloves on.

In my opinion, Marry My Husband stands out as one of the best dramas of 2024 so far. Its fresh approach and thrilling storyline make it a must-watch for fans of the genre.

A perfect, 'Perfect Marriage Revenge'

Rarely do I find myself genuinely fond of both leading characters, but in this series, I couldn't help but root for them throughout. It's tough to witness even fictional characters endure exploitation and abuse, but the satisfaction of seeing them grow stronger and seek revenge is truly rewarding.

As the description suggests, this series revolves around the opportunity for a fresh start in life and love. Yi Joo takes charge, steering us through her journey of perfect revenge—a thrilling, romantic, and sometimes scary adventure. I'm glad I joined her on this ride because it was absolutely worth it.

Hilarious!

I laughed and laughed and laughed. This series became my weekly stress reliever because, as the old saying goes, laughter is truly the best medicine. One thing I loved about this series is that there were no wasted characters; everyone was essential to the plot. It had the perfect balance of tension, humor, suspense, and nonsense. I enjoyed every episode and never grew bored. My only criticism is that I was expecting a romantic comedy, but the romance was the weakest aspect of the series. However, the overall series was so excellent that it didn’t matter in the end.
