Hidden Gems
These are the drama and movies worth mentioning despite not able to become one of my all-time favs.

1. The Suspicious Housekeeper
Korean Drama - 2013, 20 episodes
This strange housekeeper went beyond her job to mend a broken family back into how they were when the mother was still around. This drama reminded me of the housekeeper who used to live with us back then, I really misses her.

2. It's Okay, That's Love
Korean Drama - 2014, 16 episodes
It's very rare for drama to pick up on the topic of mental illness, as it often carries a stigma and might repelle a lot of potential watchers. But this one is about how to live with your inner demons and get the much needed help. It spreads a very positive message with a hint of love and romance.

3. Sumika Sumire
Japanese Drama - 2016, 8 episodes
Gramps is here to become young again and experience the great thing about school through the use of... cat magic. The black cat was charming and the cat CP had me grinding my teeth out of disappointment for the main girl. It was a good one!

4. Nine: Nine Times Time Travel
Korean Drama - 2013, 20 episodes
We all have regrets that we wish to undo, person(s) we want to save, things we wished to do but ended up not being able to do... This particular one is about saving someone important and make the past mistakes right. But just like any other drama that deals with time travel-- things will only go downhill.

5. Omukae Desu
Japanese Drama - 2016, 9 episodes
This one is sorta like that Death God Momo drama, except with a weirdly passionate guy and a smart kiddo. Since this drama deals with death, you'll be expected to shed some tears with those Japanese-styled life lessons that all anime fans grew up watching.

6. The Werewolf Game: The Villagers Side
Japanese Movie - 2013
I had a hard time deciding whether to put this drama on the list or the Werewolf Side one due to the thrills I got alongside with Tao-chan. I recommend this one more due to the fact that this drama outlines more of the strong and weak sides of humanity and I felt more engaging while cheering for the main girl to survive behind the screen. However, there were a lot of boring parts that I've skipped out, thus resulted in a rather average rating.

7. Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou
Japanese Drama - 2012, 12 episodes
I like how this drama draws out the differences between the stereotypical men and women, but at the same time it points out the good points of these two groups of individuals. The only subpar part of this drama is the messy romance that could not awaken the inner shoujo within me. The main CP was simply unsatisfyingly paired up and very much expected them to be together because they were the leaders of their groups.
