Unparalleled Stories
These dramas/ movies have plots that are totally unique and are not at all typical

1. Tomorrow I Will Date With Yesterday’s You
Japanese Movie - 2016
There are very few movies that leave me absolutely floored and this is one of them. The story is so intricate and out of the box which is hard to come by these days. A timeline that is backwards as well as forward makes no sense but this movie does just that and very well.

2. The Romance of Tiger and Rose
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
This drama is your typical time travel drama with the added notion of the lead being forced to experience her writing as the main heroine. This is such a cool and yet distinctive twist that made an otherwise boring trope much more exciting to watch.

3. My Dream: The Series
Thai Drama - 2018, 12 episodes
Bl dramas tend to be the same storylines over and over ESPECIALLY the ones from Thailand but this managed to put a spin on things and add a supernatural element. I absolutely adore this drama and the potential that it has, but I don't think there will be a proper conclusion for this one- damn shame.

4. Strange Circus
Japanese Movie - 2005
I never knew where this movie was headed and when the proverbial shoe dropped towards the end, I was still shocked. When you think of Japan and their outlandish stories- this one take the cake. When I say this movie is weird, I mean WEIRD! Nothing is as it seems and the ending is something that you will not see coming.

5. Moebius
Korean Movie - 2013
"What the hell am I watching?" That is what I said to myself while watching this. The premise is so out of pocket and uncomfortable yet I couldn't look away- like an accident. This movie has me conflicted in that I don't ever want to watch it again BUT at the same time I want to watch it again.

6. Frozen
Hong Kong Movie - 2010
"Wacky, weird, colorful, and cute" Another movie that transcends timelines that is not confusing with adorable characters and a heartwarming story. I love when movies incorporate real life characters like this did with Leslie Cheung as it adds dimension to the plot.
