Dramas That Anger Me Beyond Comprehension
If the drama doesn't come up on my watch lists, know that it is because I could not finish it and wanted to completely eliminate it from my life. How good actors elected to partake in such....... I don't even know how to describe them. It's sad really. A sad waste of time.

1. Boys Over Flowers
Korean Drama - 2009, 25 episodes
I understand that this is a 'must watch' in the kdrama world...but, the characters are so two-dimensional. There is little redeemable about any of them: the bullies, the stupid, or just the plain old innocent and naïve. This drama made me resent Lee Min Ho, and it took over a year for me to get over that irrational rage.

2. Amanti della Luna: Scarlet Heart Ryeo
Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes
I tried re-watching this drama several times, because for the life of me, I could not find anything romantic in it. At least - nothing that moves past the realm of toxic into somewhat acceptable. I understand all the character motivations.... I really do. But when you know you can't be with someone, what the heck is the point of torturing yourself and them with that knowledge? Why keep calling into the dark when you *know* that no one is going to respond? It was a hopeless, useless, and toxic relationship. Good riddance.

3. My ID is Gangnam Beauty
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
It does not feel right to give this drama a rating. I could not, for the life of me, get past episode 9. I tried watching the drama on two separate occasions - in 2019, and now in 2021. Safe to say that the two year gap did NOT help my opinion of the show. The acting is stiff and verging on unbearable, the story itself is needlessly dragged on, and the only one worth actually staying for, is the manipulative Soo Ah who could at least evoke anger from me. The rest of the cast looked pained the majority of the time, and though the storyline itself could have gone somewhere, it was a fail of epic proportions. I'm mainly just upset that I tried watching this drama TWICE. Looks aren't all there is, my dear reader. Personality is necessary too. This show just didn't seem to get that, despite the story it was trying to push.

4. The Master's Sun
Korean Drama - 2013, 17 episodes
Why is okay for rich men to be absolute, good for nothing jerks? There are times when it works, because you can see character development occurring, but in this particular case, it all just lacked sincerity to me.

5. Backstreet Rookie
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
I am a massive Ji Chang Wook fan, and of course jumped at the opportunity to watch this show. Little did I know that he would be down-graded to this two-cent character in a five-cent story line. The romance felt incredibly uncomfortable, and I literally did not care about any of the characters. Complete waste of time.

6. Hide and Seek
Korean Drama - 2018, 48 episodes
After episode 13, I was on the verge of bashing my head into a concrete wall. It just kept dragging on, and on, and on, and on. There was no end in sight. Not to mention the predictability of it. It's like half way through they remembered that the show was scheduled for 24 episodes instead of 16, and just decided to throw in what I felt were useless plot lines. The romance in this drama felt incredibly forced. I didn't see chemistry develop - instead it was just thrown at me, and I was expected to accept it. Before I'd even gotten to know any of the characters particularly well.

7. Oh! Master
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
I'm really sorry to say this, but this drama took a nose dive off a cliff after episode 6. It went from being about mature people dealing with complex problems, to a super awkward high-school-esque drama where the characters' actions were simply foolish. I hated the second male lead with everything I could muster. Maybe I was biased because watched this drama on the heels of 'How to be Thirty', but his character was flat, annoying, and disposable. I'm not sure if it was the way the role itself was written, or the actor himself. Either way - disappointing. Given that I wasn't even able to make it past the first 15 minutes of the 8th episode, I never really got to experience the fantasy element. That said, I also don't understand why a fantasy element needed to exist. It's almost like the drama vision was one when the writer first started writing, and then pulled a Bi Soo after the second episode and started writing another drama, only to remember that maybe that first drama should come to an end first. It just felt disorganized, tedious, and pointless.

8. You Are My Sunshine
Chinese Movie - 2015
Not a drama, but what the heck? Seriously? This is meant to be some epic love story? Talk about abusive and toxic. Explain to me how the ML can go and break up with her (regardless of the reason), and then blame HER for leaving him to go to America? How does that logic even work? It wasn't explained away either - the blame was just dumped on her, and she took it. But they meet again seven years later, and he can't keep his hands off of her. Literally pushing her against walls and kissing her without consent. Is that supposed to be sexy or romantic? My dude - it has been seven years. You can't do that. To her, or to anyone for that matter. Or how when she was sick, he started forcing himself on her? What the hell is wrong with this man? I would have put a restraining order on him and moved countries just to get away. And of course, he doesn't 'forgive' her until another man explains her past to him. Why does she need forgiving? Why does he need to forgive himself? Just throw the baby out with the bath water - it ain't a baby. It's a misogynistic selfish gremlin. And then the movie has the audacity to end on a cute note? Oh he went looking for her while she was in America. And did that amount to anything? NO. Throw this movie in a burn book. What a waste of time.

9. Falling for Innocence
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
I don't understand what it is about rude, violent, and abusive behvaiour being rewarded. I stopped watching after episode seven, because I couldn't stomach the relationship between the main leads. In ep. 7 alone, it begins with a forced kiss, which she rejects and reacts with a very deserved shove; only to end with a kiss which she reciprocates. Nothing was done in the timespan between to actually earn any kind feelings towards him.
