Kdramas That Are So Underrated That It's Frustrating
In no particular order. These are the dramas that I CONSIDER highly underrated.
They are by no means flawless, but worth the watch. Afterall don't we watch dramas to have a good time?
-
1. 365: One Year Against Destiny
Korean Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
This drama will make you gasp and scream in shock. I binge watched it, and I am still not over it.
-
2. The Village: Achiara's Secret
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
The unsettling atmosphere of this drama! This is how a suspense thriller is supposed to be. I wish other writers and directors will learn from it.
-
3. Monster
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
It is a masterpiece! From story to character, music to atmosphere, everything is just so so perfect. I had to slow down while binge watching because I didn't want it to end.
-
4. Chief Kim
Korean Drama - 2017, 20 episodes
Same writer as Vincenzo and Fiery Priest. This writer knows how to combine smart comedy and slapstick comedy perfectly! The first episode may be slow, but it is overall a hilarious and engaging drama.
-
5. The Beauty Inside
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
THE COMEDY! I watched this drama during a depressing period, and oh how I laughed! That comedy was the main reason I continued watching this show because I needed that serotonin badly. I also really loved seeing the interactions between the main couple and the secondary couple. The secondary is the one most people love, but for me the main couple was also interesting and worth watching.

6. The Fiery Priest
Korean Drama - 2019, 40 episodes
The second most HILARIOUS DRAMA I have ever watched! The first is Vincenzo. Like Vincenzo, every single character and scene is funny.
-
7. Abyss
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
I binge watched it during a time when I couldn't get into any drama. This drama has suspense, comedy and an adorable couple. The supporting characters are also fun. I don't understand why it's so underrated.
-
8. Strangers from Hell
Korean Drama - 2019, 10 episodes
The story is intriguing, the atmosphere is even more unsettling and tense than Achiara's Secret, and the writer knows the psyche of humans. So much that this drama kinda messed with my head., because the male lead and I had so so mmuch in common. The last episode rattled me. I understand it can be disturbinh for some people because some content is gory or graphic, so that might be why it didn't become as famous or successful as it should have been.

9. Catch the Ghost
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
The story is interesting. Suspense pulls you in one direction then throws you in another. I really liked the relationship between the hero and heroine. The hero is also one of the nicest nicest male lead I have seen in kdramas. I think this drama dealt with disability issues in a realistic manner. People might not like the heroine but her character is realistic. (She grows, matures and learns through mistakes). I am sick of seeing angels as female leads in kdramas.

10. Psychopath Diary
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Damn! Damn Yoon Shi Yoon and his goofy smiles. Damn the villain and his killer looks. This is funny, interesting and cute. The moral dilemma in it had me in its grasp. This drama messed with my head way more than Strangers From Hell did. The plot is unique and original. I wish we have more dramas like this. I miss it so badly. It was perfect from start to end.

Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
