Ayu meets and marries Tetsu and just as they are getting their life together started, Yuki, a 5-year old boy, enters their life claiming to be Tetsu's son. Being thrown into it, Ayu learns the ins-and-outs of motherhood and is determined to do a good job. The family grows and bonds together as the drama continues.

Fathers is a great story about two... well... fathers who are navigating not only raising their child, but also the disapproving society judging their abilities to raise a child just due to who they love.

There is no denying the love Baek Hee Sung has for his daughter. Even if he doesn't fully comphrend emotions. Even if he's hiding massive secrets, and his own identity. It's clear no one is allowed to mess with his family.

Ooooh this family hurts. If you've gone through the loss of a loved one, you understand the over whelming feelings this drama portrays. It goes through loss, various stages of grief, various ways people deal with grief, and finally acceptance. It's a heartache, but it's a heartache because everyone is mature, and want the best for their loved ones.

The family in Hit the Top is all over the place, but that can be a really fun part about family. Each character has their own problems that they focus on, but that doesn't stop them from helping each other... even if they are also sometimes adding to problems, they also help with the healing.

Hope tackles a really heavy topic, that can be very triggering for people. However it's focus is on the connectiveness that a family and entire neighborhood go through to help a child go through intense trauma. If you want to check it out, check out the tags to see if you'll be okay.
They way the neighborhood pinches in to help her, the levels her father goes through just to be near to her and help her smile and feel comfortable around him... I was crying.

The royal family is JUST toxic. Like... JUST toxic. They are terrible... (okay sub 1...) I ain't talking about them.

The queen's family, however, is a strong point for her, and have got her back just as a family should. They also get a bigger role to play (at least her sister does) a little later in the drama.

This show is only on here because Prince Qin's mother/ Yunxi's Mother-in-law proved her worth near the end of the series. I'm not going to go into detail. But what she said in episode 39(?) skyrocketed her to the top of my favorite characters in this drama. It is clear how much she cares for Prince Qin, and Prince Qin her.
