Okay, this is going to be a very long shot but I only just thought to ask you all. Thank you in advance.
Do you know/have you heard of an album (release on cassette tape) in the late 80s/early 90s called Love of the Common People? That might be the album name or the name of the band. It might have been a world tour? Might have been christian, might not have been.
The only song I remember has the following lyrics, roughly in this order, ish (which I have typed into various search engines over the years):
Dance the lover's dance, dream the lover's dream
Tonight it's you and I, with nothing in between
This world (or hope) is what I'm sharing, forever cease to be
