Most of the Chinese dramas I find that are based in modern times that look interesting never have any dramatic moments and end up being kind of boring to me because of that. The only cdramas I can find that actually have dramatic moments in them are historical ones but I want to watch one that takes place in modern times. Are there any cdramas that have a lot of dramatic moments that take place in modern times? If so please let me know what they are. Also please don't recommend Meteor Garden because I don't want to watch something where the male lead is super toxic or mean.
