The production team of Virtuous Business released actor Yeon Woo Jin's stills.
A Virtuous Business depicts the story of four women who ventured into door-to-door sales of adult products in a rural village in 1992. The drama focuses on the independence, growth, and friendship of these women.
In the K-drama, the Daily Dose of Sunshine actor plays the role of Detective Kim Do Hyeon, an American-style detective who is transferred to the village of Geumje.
Riding in a fancy Jeep, Do Hyeon makes a stylish entry into the humble village of Geumje. When he takes off his sunglasses, we see his sophisticated city look, like a Hollywood movie star.
Do Hyeon's transfer shakes up the Geumje's police station as well. It's no wonder since his "impressive" credentials are far too big for this small place. Do Hyeon attended high school in the U.S., returned to Korea, graduated from the police academy, and quickly rose through the ranks at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul. However, despite being close with his colleagues, he draws a sharp line between him and them, American-style. Naturally, the station chief and his colleagues can't help but grumble in frustration.
But there's a story behind why Do Hyeon ended up in Geumje, where he has no ties. He leaves work on time and skips office dinners, adding a layer of mystery to the K-drama.
A Virtuous Business will premiere sometime in October. More news about the K-drama's OTT service is yet to come.
