Jung Man Shik and Shin Seung Hwan reprise their roles in Veteran's sequel I, the Executioner.

The sequel to the 2015 domestic box office hit Veteran, I, the Executioner is an action-crime thriller about young Detective Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In) joining the violent crime investigation team and working with veteran Detective Seo Do Cheol (Hwang Jung Min). The film follows the two detectives as they chase a serial killer who is stirring up a sensation.

Actor Jung Man Shik and Shin Seung Hwan were scene-stealers in Veteran (2015). Jung Man Shik played the role of Manager Jeon, a gangster who worked as a subordinate to the third-generation chaebol Jo Tae Oh (Yoo Ah In). In I, the Executioner, he is set to return as the same villainous character. In the previously released trailer, Manager Jeon is seen holding a Bible and shamelessly smiling as he says, "That's why I have received all the punishment."

On the other hand, Shin Seung Hwan's character, reporter Park, has now become a full-time YouTuber in I, the Executioner. In Veteran, Park was a reporter close to Detective Seo Do Cheol, who attempted to secure front-page exclusives in the social news section. In I, the Executioner, he comes as the owner of the YouTube channel "Justice Chief TV", digging into various crimes. Park is expected to evoke anger in viewers as he engages in activities like broadcasting sensational news or leaking fabricated personal information on social media to receive donations from subscribers.

I, the Executioner is coming to theaters on September 13.
