The upcoming action movie Mission Cross will postpone its release.
On December 28, the distributor of the upcoming movie Mission Cross Plus M Entertainment announced, "We have decided to postpone the release of the movie which was originally scheduled to greet the audience in February of next year."
Although the distributor announced the postponement, the new release date is not yet revealed. They also did not specify the reason for the delay in the release.
Despite the reason for the postponement was not revealed, many are speculating that the distributor decided to delay the release of the movie for one of its main leads, Jeon Hye Jin. The actress is currently mourning the passing of her husband, actor Lee Sun Kyun.
Mission Cross is the comeback of Jeon Hye Jin to the big screen after two years.
Mission Cross will be led by Hwang Jung Min, Yeom Jung Ah, Jeon Hye Jin, Jung Man Shik, Kim Chan Hyung, and Kim Joo Heon.
The upcoming movie will revolve around a former special forces officer who now lives as a house husband while hiding his past from his wife. Meanwhile, his wife is the ace of a violent crime unit. One day, a former colleague of the husband appeared and asked for help. The husband was secretly helping his colleague but his wife suddenly found out about their secret. The three then got caught up in a huge incident together.
Hwang Jung Min will play the role of Kang Moo, a former agent who is now living peacefully as a house husband. Yeom Jung Ah will portray the role of Mi Sun, a violent crime detective. Jeon Hye Jin on the other hand will portray the role of Hee Joo, an ex-colleauge of Kang Moo who is currently an agent and asking for help for an undercover investigation.
Mission Cross was filmed in 2022 and it will officially premiere sometime in 2024.
