Ultra Fan Guide: Hirano Sho

After doing a quick poll in the MDL Public feeds,  Hirano Sho is the next stalkers Ultra Fan Guide that was requested (out of the list of options I gave). At the time of beginning this article I had only seen Honey and Hana Nochi Hare:Hanadan the Next Season.  

Dramas

In 2011 he was in Chūgakusei Nikki "Jikkyō Shōjo" which was aired on NHK-E that is all that is usually known about it when you search the english sources but tvdrama-db.com and here (both in Japanese) are 2 links I found reguarding this show or episode..I am not clear exactly.

His next drama was SHARK Season 1

My Rating:  9/10 Ratings: 7.4/10 from 532 users # of Watchers: 1,497 I really enjoyed this. Episode length of 22 minutes left little time to not get to the point. Predictable, yes. Yet the story was still well told and did not feel forced. Soundtrack/theme song good as well and you can watch it here

Then of course came Hana Nochi Hare: HanaDan Next Season 

Your Rating:  9/10 Ratings: 7.8/10 from 1,069 users # of Watchers: 3,581 Continues in the same universe but is its own story. The ending disappointed me but shoganai (what can I do? or it is what it is).  I most likely gave this a higher rating because I am a Hanadan super fan.

Movies

2014 he did Ninjani Sanjo! Mirai e no Tatakai the dvd is for sale but the video was not found by me.

My Rating:  8/10 Ratings: 7.7/10 from 1,059 users # of Watchers: 2,644 2018 he did Honey Typical shoujo romance movie and delivers exactly what it promises.

Also in 2018 he did We Love  which does not seem to have hit the net yet. In 2019 he will be in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War .

Family life/Beginning of Stardom

He is a  typical Johnny's pretty boy until he opens his mouth.  My husband used the phrase "A voice husky enough to pull a dog sled" to describe Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) once and I believe that applies to Hirano Sho too.

Hiroyuki Ueno, a producer of  SHARK, cites that his voice as one of the reasons for choosing him for the role.  Akashiya Sanma noticed Hirano when he talked on television and radio.  Akashiya was on  Dancing! Sanma-dono !! , and imitated Hirano who originally had a complex about his voice, but because Akashiya imitated it, he decided it was his voice that made him unique.

 He is often referred to as an airhead and in a recent interview the following conversation happened:

He was asked "Shou-kun is careful of everyone and is acting "airheaded" on it seems. That's a lie right?"
He replied "I'm not doing that! I don't have any memory of doing that."
"Are you a natural airhead?"

His family consists of his mother and a brother 2 years his junior and a grandmother .“Obaa-chan often said that Takizawa (Hideaki)-kun has a mole in the same spot” he cites these moles as his charm point.

He began learning dance and acrobatics when he was in the second grade of middle school.  He belonged to the entertainment office called Central Japan in Nagoya.  With that company he joined the group BOYS AND MEN with Tanaka Shunsuke.  He left that group in September of 2011.

In his first year of High school an instructor at dance school camp introduced him to Kitigawa Johnny and was soon admitted as a Johnny's Junior in February of 2012.  He stated that his reason for joining J&A was that he admired Yamashita Tomohisa-kun “I watched the drama ‘Proposal Daisakusen’ and got really into it!”

Kin Kan

Kin Kan was a Kansai Johnny’s Jr unit. Kin Kan is short for King of Kansai (King of 関西). This unit originally had two members, Kaneuchi Toma and Mukai Koji (Who is a member of Johnny's WEST), then Hirano Sho from Nagoya Jr joined in 2012 during Shonentachi: Koushi Naki Rougoku. They appeared on The Shounen Club, Maido!Jani~, and Taki CHANnel

Sexy Boyz is a Johnny’s Jr unit who become Sexy Zone’s backup dancers. This unit formed in 2012. The members are always changing. In early 2014, Sexy Boyz changed to Sexy Boys. Hirano Sho was a part of the Johnny’s Jr who follow Sexy Zone as backup dancers. 

Hirano's  first time on stage was a  Sexy Zone concert “I remember getting the timing totally wrong in the dance corner…” because of his mistake his most memorable song is Yuuki 100%  “This is also a song where I got the time to appear wrong during the first concert I appeared in…”

Sexy Age was a Kansai Johnny’s Jr unit consisting of Hirano Sho and Nagase Ren. It formed to perform in Live House Johnny’s Ginza 2014. They performed on May 24 to May 25, 2013 and May 31 to June 1, 2014 along with Sexy Jr.

Sexy Family is a Sexy Zone’s sub unit and consists of its members and Johnny’s Jrs.  

Mr. King vs Mr. Prince was a Johnny’s Jr unit. It created as special supporter for TV Asahi’s Roppongi Hills Natsu Matsuri Summer Station in June of 2015 and was in charge of the event’s theme.  Johnny Kitagawa gave the unit’s name 2 hours before press conference.  It was also called Kinpuri. which still persists through the current incarnation of the the group, this nickname was given by Iwahashi Genki because he thought Kinpuri was easier to say.   Mr. King vs Mr. Prince was divided into two groups, those are Mr. King (Hirano Sho, Nagase Ren, Takahashi Kaito) and Mr. Prince (Iwahashi Genki, Jinguji Yuta, Kishi Yuta).

King & Prince debuted on May 23, 2018 by released debut single, Cinderella Girl under Johnny’s Universe(collaboration between Johnny's and Universal Music).  “Cinderella Girl”charted at Oricon weekly no.1 with 577,000 copies sold its first week.

It was the highest first week sales for a debut single this decade. It’s also been 12 years and 2 months previously that a debut single had exceeded 500,000 copies sold since KAT-TUN’s Real Face with 754,000 copies (March, 2006) . With this, King & Prince achieved the second highest first week sales for a debut single after KAT-TUN.

• He has cited Oguri Shun as an actor he admires.
• In 2016, he overtook the record of  Shibhara Ayano, who had the record of the youngest chairman at the age of 22 and worked as the youngest chairman of Fukuoka and Hakata at the age of 19 in Johnny's Future World from Teikoku to Hakata.
