Ohn Joo Wan will reportedly be added to the main cast of the upcoming ENA K-drama The Moon that Rises in the Day.
Media outlets reported on April 12 that Ohn Joo Wan will also be the main lead of the historical romance K-drama The Moon that Rises in the Day.
Ohn Joo Wan's agency Haewadal Entertainment responded to the reports through Top Star News. According to the agency, Ohn Joo Wan did receive the offer to star in the series and he is positively considering it.
The Moon that Rises in the Day will revolve around a man whose time has stopped and a woman who can time travel to the past and present. It will be based on the popular webtoon of the same name by Hye Yoom.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Kim Young Dae and Pyo Ye Jin.
Ohn Jo Wan was offered to play the role of Han Min Oh. He is the older brother of Kim Young Dae's character named Do Ha. He also has a crush on Pyo Ye Jin's character named Kang Young Hwa.
The Moon that Rises in the Day will premiere within the year and it will exclusively premiere on broadcast channel ENA.
If Ohn Joo Wan confirms his casting, this will be his comeback to the K-drama scene after two years. The actor last starred in the hit 2021 K-drama The Penthouse Season 3: War in Life. This will also be his first K-drama after moving to his new agency.
Ohn Joo Wan made his acting debut in 2005. Since then, he has starred in several K-dramas and films. He is known for being part of the series That Summer Typhoon, My Love By My Side, Sword and Flower, Surplus Princess, The Village: Achiara's Secret, Beautiful Gong Shim, The Lies Within, and more.
He is also known for performing in musicals such as The Days and The Sandglass.
Aside from The Moon that Rises in the Day, Ohn Joo Wan is also set to appear in the upcoming film To Heart with Jung Man Shik and Shin So Yool.
