Oh Yeon Soo and Han Seok Kyu will star together in a new K-drama after 31 years.
On April 16, it was officially confirmed that actress Oh Yeon Soo will also join the cast of the upcoming MBC K-drama The Intimate Traitor.
The upcoming K-drama will be the reunion project of Oh Yeon Soo and Han Seok Kyu after 31 years. The two previously starred together in the 1992 K-drama Sons and Daughters. They worked alongside main leads Choi Soo Jong, Kim Hee Ae, Sun Woo Eun Sook, Park Hye Sook, Jung Hye Sun, and Jun In Taek.
This will also be the first project of Oh Yeon Soo since the 2022 K-drama Military Prosecutor Doberman wherein she worked alongside Ahn Bo Hyun, Jo Bo Ah, Kim Young Min, Kim Woo Seok, and Kang Mal Geum.
Oh Yeon Soo made her acting debut in 1989. She is known for being part of the K-dramas Criminal Minds, Gye Baek, Bad Guy, The Queen Returns, La Dolce Vita, Jumong, and more.
The Intimate Traitor will reveal the dilemma Korea's top profiler experiences when he realizes his daughter's secret and connection to murder crimes.
Director Song Yeon Hwa is known for creating the hit K-dramas The Red Sleeve and Hunted) will take charge in the upcoming K-drama.
Han Seok Kyu, Han Ye Ri, and Chae Won Bin will lead the upcoming K-drama.
Oh Yeon Soo will reunite with Han Seok Kyu as a divorced couple. She will portray the role of Yoon Ji Soo, the ex-wife of Jang Tae Soo (Han Seok Kyu) and the mother of Jang Ha Bin (Chae Won Bin). Her character will play a crucial role in the relationship between her ex-husband and daughter.
The Intimate Traitor will start airing in the second half of 2024. It will exclusively premiere on MBC. It will be part of their Friday and Saturday K-drama timeslot.
