Oh Jung Se is positively considering the main lead role for an upcoming TV Chosun drama!
On March 17, drama insiders stated that Oh Jung Se will be the main lead for the upcoming drama titled "Uncle".
"Uncle" will be directed by Ji Young Soo who also worked on "My Fair Lady", "Falling for Innocence", "Room No. 9", and more. The script will be written by Park Ji Sook who penned the scripts for "The Spring Day of My Life", "The Houseguest and My Mother", and "You Stole My Heart".
The actor's agency Prain TPC shared that Oh Jung Se is positively considering the offer to play the main lead role.
The upcoming TV Chosun drama is based off of the BBC sitcom with the same name. It will narrate the story of an unemployed uncle and his 12 years old nephew. The uncle will be the guardian of the kid who is discriminated for his social status in the cruel world.
If Oh Jung Se confirms his casting, he will play the role of Wang Jun Hyuk, an unemployed musician who is betrayed by his friend. Wang Jun Hyuk's lover also abandoned him after the betrayal. He will take care of his nephew who is an elementary school student.
Oh Jung Se is known for his brilliant acting in every project he has starred in. He has participated in several dramas that received high praises and ratings. He was in "It's Okay to Not Be Okay", "Hot Stove League", "When the Camellia Blooms", "Misaeng: Incomplete Life" amongst others. In 2021, Oh Jung Se will star in several movies and dramas. He will star in the upcoming drama of Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun titled "Cliffhanger" that will air in the second half of the year. Oh Jung Se will also star in movies such as "High Five" and "The Christmas Gift".
"Uncle" is set to air in the second half of the year.
