The upcoming space rom-com, starring Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho as the main leads, has finished filming. The K-drama will now enter the post-production stage.

Ask the Stars is a sci-fi rom-com that tells the story of an OB-GYN (obstetrician-gynecologist) and a Korean-American astronaut.

Gong Ryong is an OB-GYN who visits the space station as a tourist, where he meets the astronaut Eve Kim and the two fall for each other.

Playing the role of the gynecologist Gong Ryong is Lee Min Ho, and Gong Hyo Jin will be seen as astronaut Eve Kim.

Ask the Stars is especially drawing attention because it is a space K-drama (one of the lesser produced series in the genre like The Silent Sea) with a twist of rom-com.

Also, the drama has a stellar supporting cast including Han Ji EunOh Jung SeKim Joo HeonLee El, and Park Jin Joo

As the drama is set in space, it will use a lot of VFX (Visual Effects) to give the viewers a seamless visual experience. Therefore, after finishing filming, the post-production work to improve the quality of the drama begins. The production team of Ask the Stars said, "We are using various filming techniques to portray the weightless state inside the spaceship, the grandiosity of stars outside the space station, and the expansive scenery of the universe. So please look forward to having a visual feast."

In addition, the production team said, "We are deeply grateful to all the actors and staff who worked hard day and night so that the filming could be completed safely. The filming went even more smoothly thanks to Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin’s synergy. Viewers will be immersed in the performance of the two actors like they are being sucked into a black hole".

The space rom-com is helmed by Park Shin Woo, who also directed It's Okay to Not Be Okay and Lovestruck in the City.  The screenplay was written by Jealousy Incarnate writer Seo Sook Hyang.

The release date and where the K-drama will be streamed are yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for more upcoming updates!
