Actress Lee Mi Yeon might star in a new drama after several years!
On June 24th, Lee Mi Yeon's agency 'King Kong by Starship' shared to media outlets that the top actress is currently reviewing an offer to star in "Killer Queen."
The upcoming drama "Killer Queen" will narrate the story of a psychiatrist who becomes the daughter-in-law of a chaebol family. It will showcase the experiences and suffering that she encounters in the chaebol's family.
The top actress was offered the role of Do Geum Ju. She's the queen of the club that manages the secrets and assets of Korean VVIPs (part of the wealthiest 1% in the country).
"Killer Queen" is in discussion to air on TV Chosun, other production details are yet to be revealed.
If Lee Mi Yeon accepts the offer to star in "Killer Queen," this will be her comeback drama after 11 years! She last starred in the 2010 drama "The Great Merchant" as a successful female merchant named Kim Man Deok. The actress also made a special appearance in the hit 2015 tvN drama "Reply 1988" with Kim Joo Hyuk.
Lee Mi Yeon was also part of the dramas "Crazy For You," "Empress Myeongseong," "8 Love Stories," "Three Men, Three Women," and more.
The actress last appeared in the 2016 movie "Like For Likes" with Yoo Ah In, Kim Joo Hyuk, Choi Ji Woo, Kang Ha Neul, and Esom. She was also included in the cast of movies such as "Woman, Man", "A Company Man," "Love Exposure," "Whispering Corridors 3: Wishing Stairs," "The Last Witness," "Do You Like the Afternoon After the Rain?", and several more.
