Kwak Dong Yeon in talks to lead the upcoming TVING original drama "Monstrous"
On July 14th several reports stated that actor Kwak Dong Yeon will be starring in a new TVING original drama "Monstrous." It will be helmed by Yeon Sang Ho, famous for directing the hit movies "Train to Busan" and "Peninsula." The script will be written by "Pied Piper" screenwriter Ryu Yong Jae.
Kwak Dong Yeon's agency H& Entertainment shared their side regarding the reports, stating that the actor did receive the offer and is positively reviewing the script.
"Monstrous" will narrate the story of an archaeologist who solves a mysterious case. Koo Kyo Hwan will also reportedly join the upcoming drama.
The upcoming TVING drama "Monstrous" will be produced by Climax Studio who also created Netflix's "D.P." and "Hellbound." It will exclusively be available on TVING.
Broadcast date and other cast members are yet to be announced.
If Kwak Dong Yeon accepts the drama, this will be his second upcoming drama project since "Vincenzo." He previously starred in the hit tvN drama with Song Joong Ki, Jeon Yeo Been, 2PM's Ok Taecyeon, and more. He was greatly praised for his acting skills in "Vincenzo" and the actor has received several offers since then. Aside from the upcoming dramas, Kwak Dong Yeon will also participate in the 2022 movie "6/45" together with Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Yi Kyung, Eum Moon Suk, Park Se Wan, and Lee Soon Won.
Kwak Dong Yeon is also known for being part of the dramas such as "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," "My ID Is Gangnam Beauty," "Reunited Worlds," "Radio Romance," "Fight For My Way," "Love in the Moonlight," and more.
