Kim So Hyun and NU'EST's Hwang Min Hyun will possibly team up for the upcoming drama "Useless Lies."
On September 21st, several media outlets reported that Kim So Hyun and Hwang Min Hyun will be the main leads of the upcoming mystery romance comedy drama "Useless Lies."
Hwang Min Hyun's agency Pledis Entertainment responded to the casting reports. According to the agency, the idol-actor is positively reviewing the offer to star in "Useless Lies." Meanwhile, Kim So Hyun's side hasn't responded to the casting news.
"Useless Lies" will be about a woman who can hear lies and a man who refuses to lie. The series will be the next project of director Nam Sung Woo ("Love in Contract," "My Roommate Is a Gumiho," and "Kkondae Intern.")
Hwang Min Hyun got the offer to play the role of Kim Do Ha, the best composer, and producer in Korea. He is more known for his name Kei. His real name, age, birthplace, and marital status are all kept secret.
Kim So Hyun will reportedly play as the character named Sung Hee. At an early age, she already got the ability to hear lies. After meeting Kim Do Ha, she will fall into new problems while living with the ability.
"Useless Lies" will reportedly have 16 episodes. Meanwhile, the broadcast date and channel are not yet finalized.
If Kim So Hyun confirms her casting, this will be her follow-up drama after the Netflix original series "Love Alarm 2." The actress is also set to star in the new series "Is It Fate?" directed by Song Hyun Wook. For 2022, the actress is currently resting and didn't appear in any projects.
Meanwhile, if Hwang Min Hyun accepted the upcoming drama, this will be his second time being the main lead of a series. He got his first leading role in the 2020 drama "Live On." For this year, Hwang Min Hyun was part of the drama "Alchemy of Souls." He will also join the second part "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" which will also air this year.
