Kim Gun Woo will also be part of the much anticipated Netflix original K-drama "The Glory Season 1."
On December 28th, it was announced that Kim Gun Woo will join the main leads Song Hye Kyo, Lee Do Hyun, Im Ji Yeon, Park Sung Hoon, Yeom Hye Ran, and Jung Sung Il in the upcoming series "The Glory Season 1."
Kim Gun Woo's agency Blossom Entertainment also confirmed the news that the actor will portray the role of Son Myung Ho. He will be one of the perpetrators of bullying Song Hye Kyo's character. He will work closely with Im Ji Yeon and Jae Joon's characters in tormenting the main lead.
"The Glory Season 1" will tell the story of a woman who was devastated after being a victim of school violence when she was in her teens. Because of this, she will risk everything even her life to prepare great revenge on the bullies and the bystanders.
The upcoming drama series will be the next project of director Ahn Gil Ho ("Stranger" and "Rooftop Prince") and writer Kim Eun Sook ("Goblin," "Descendants of the Sun," and "Secret Garden").
Kim Gun Woo shared his thoughts as he joins the upcoming series, "This project is like a present to me. It awakened my passion for my craft that I had forgotten for a while. I am grateful to all the actors and staff including writer Kim Eun Sook and director Ahn Gil Ho for including me as part of the cast of 'The Glory'."
"The Glory Season 1" will officially premiere on December 30th. The series can only be viewed on the OTT platform Netflix and it will be available worldwide.
This will be the comeback drama of Kim Gun Woo after two years. The actor last appeared in the 2020 K-drama "Record of Youth" with Park Bo Gum, Park So Dam, Byun Woo Suk, Kwon Soo Hyun, Ha Hee Ra, and Park Soo Young.
This year, Kim Gun Woo led the recently released movie "The Ultimate Oppa" which was released through Amazon Prime Video. He worked with Filipino actress Bela Padilla and Korean-Canadian actor Jasper Cho.
