Jo Hyun Chul will reportedly join Lee Ha Nee and Jin Seon Kyu in the new Netflix original K-drama titled Aema (literal translation).
On September 7th, news outlets reported that Jo Hyun Chul had been picked to join the reunion work of Lee Ha Nee and Jin Seon Kyu.
Jo Hyun Chul's agency Management mmm responded to the reports through the media outlet NewsN. According to them, "Jo Hyun Chul is in positive discussions for his appearance in the upcoming Netflix K-drama Aema."
Aema is a fictional comedy K-drama that will showcase the people in Chungmuro who created the movie "Madam Aema" in the early 1980s. The K-drama will showcase the stories of the actresses, producers, and directors of that time before they finalize the movie.
It was reported that Lee Ha Nee and Jin Seon Kyu will be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama. This will possibly be their reunion project after 2019's hit movie Extreme Job.
There is no official confirmation yet on the release date of the upcoming new Netflix K-drama Aema.
If Jo Hyun Chul confirms his casting, this will be his third Netflix original K-drama project. He starred in two seasons of D.P. He will also join the upcoming Netflix original series Happy Boy with Sung Yoo Bin, Won Ji An, Bae Gang Hee, Lee Suk Hyeong, and Uhm Jun Gi.
2023 is a busy year for actor Jo Hyun Chul. He starred in D.P. Season 2 and made a cameo appearance in the K-dramas One Day Off and Revenant. The actor will also join the much-anticipated film Bogotá: City of the Lost led by Song Joong Ki, Lee Hee Joon, Kwon Hae Hyo, Juana del Río, and Kim Tae Baek.
