Ji Soo is determined to fight through zombies to reunite with Park Jeong Min in 'Newtopia'

Kim Ji Soo returns to the small screen as Yeong Ju in the upcoming Coupang Play series Newtopia.

Newtopia tells the story of soldier Lee Jae Yun (Park Jeong Min) and Kang Yeong Ju (Kim Ji Soo) as they navigate a zombie-infested Seoul, desperately trying to reunite.  

Ji Soo plays the role of Yeong Ju, who strives to reunite with Jae Yun despite the world descending into chaos as zombies take over. The stills portray Yeong Ju as the campus queen during her university days, the center of everyone's attention wherever she goes.

In stark contrast, other stills show her utterly terrified, tears welling up in her eyes, as she confronts the horror of a sudden zombie outbreak. The golf club she's tightly gripped in her hands shows her determination as she fights her way through the zombie-overrun streets of Seoul, all in a bid to reach her Jae Yun. This leaves viewers wondering if she will succeed in reuniting with him.

Ji Soo shared her enthusiasm, saying, "I was captivated by Yeong Ju's charm from the very beginning, and I felt a strong desire to do a good job in bringing her character to life. I hope viewers will enjoy watching Yeong Ju grow in different ways."

Director Yoon Sung Hyun added, "Ji Soo's quirkiness and humor matched 99% with the Yeong Ju I envisioned in the script. She exceeded my expectations, portraying an even better version of Yeong Ju than I had imagined." 

Newtopia will premiere on February 7. The K-drama will be available to stream on Prime Video.
