The much-anticipated historical K-movie Harbin is coming next month.

On November 18, CJ ENM announced, "Harbin has finalized its release date for December 25."

Harbin is a thrilling espionage drama film set in 1909, about Korean independence activists fighting against the Japanese for Korea's independence.

It is the latest film by Woo Min Ho, director of The Man Standing Next. With the announcement of the domestic premiere date, stills from the film were also unveiled.

The journey capturing the determination and spirit of the independence fighters heading to Harbin is generating great anticipation in South Korea. In particular, Harbin boasts a stellar cast, with each actor bringing his flair to deliver impeccable chemistry. The stills also offer a glimpse of the dynamic energy that radiates when these actors perform together.

Hyun Bin comes as Ahn Jung Geun, Park Jeong Min as Woo Deok Soon, Jo Woo Jin as Kim Sang Hyun, Jeon Yeo Been as Madam Gong, Yoo Jae Myung as Choi Jae Hyeong, and Lee Dong Wook as Lee Chang Seop —  independence fighters. Park Hoon plays Tatsuo Mori, a Japanese army lieutenant who tracks the movements of the independence fighters.

Harbin had its world premiere at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival in September of this year and received positive reviews. It remains to be seen whether it can captivate domestic audiences when it opens on December 25.
