Actress Go Ah Sung departs from the Tving original series The Love Story of Choon Hwa due to an injury.
According to a representative from Go Ah Sung's side, on September 12th, Go Ah Sung was hospitalized with a cervical fracture during her schedule and received a 12-week diagnosis.
Of the hospital's diagnosis, Go Ah Sung plans to focus on treatment for now, resulting in her departure from The Love Story of Choon Hwa. She was slated to play the role of Grand Princess Hwari, the youngest princess of the royal family, who grows up freely in The Love Story of Choon Hwa.
With Go Ah Sung's departure from the role of Hwari Princess due to her injury, actress Go Ah Ra will be stepping in to fill the role.
This drama tells the story of Princess Hwari, a royal princess who steps outside the palace to enjoy free and independent love to personally select her husband through a "Bu Ma Jik Gan Taek" (husband selection) process.
It is based on the eponymous novel, and Chang Ryul takes on the role of Choi Hwan, the capital's wealthiest and most influential figure. The series was created by PD Lee Kwang Young, who worked on Call It Love (2023), and writer Seo Eun Jung, known for So Not Worth It (2021). It is set to premiere in 2024.
