Hyun Bin and Uhm Tae Woong

Hyun Bin fans rejoice, for your beloved actor is preparing to return with his first project since completing his military service.

Directed by Kim Jae Gyu, whose credits include producing the hit dramas, Damo and Beethoven Virus, Hyun Bin (Secret Garden, My Name is Kim Sam Soon) mark's his return with a starring role in his first saguek movie, The King's Wrath. He will be playing the 'King of Misfortunes,' Jeongjo, who had the misfortune (heh see what I did there?) of watching his father die by order of his grandfather. According to the synopsis, the movie will follow how King Jeongjo attempts to protect his royal powers from the conflict of two fractions: Noron and Soron.

The King's Wrath is set to release in 2014.



According to the latest news on the web, Uhm Tae Woong (The Equator Man, Queen Seon Duk) has just been cast to star alongside Kim Ok Bin (Hello God, Gojijeon) and Park Soo Jin (Flower Boy Next Door, Unexpected You) in KBS's upcoming sageuk drama, Knife and Flower.

This upcoming drama will be about how Moo Yeong (Kim Ok Bin), the daughter of King Yeong Ryu from the Koguryo period (918-1392), falls in love with Yeon Chung (Uhm Tae Woong), the son of Yeon Gaesomun, the man that killed her father. Conflicted by her need for revenge and love her love for Yeon Chung, Knife and Flower will be a drama that exemplifies both action and romance.

Knife and Flower will air this July after the finale of Heaven's Order.


Admittedly, I am not the biggest fan of sagueks, but I do love my ahjussis♥ I'm particularly a huge fan of Uhm Tae Woong at the moment, so surely you can imagine how excited I am for another drama from him :)
