Welcome to the SCHOOL 2013 study group!! The new KBS drama airs DECEMBER 3, 2012. OMO!! That gives us less than a month to prepare. D:

>>SUBJECT: School History
School (a.k.a. Hak Gyo) was the first installment of a drama franchise that debuted in 1999. Subsequent seasons, School 2, School 3 and School 4 all featured new casts but dealt with similar themes. The final season aired in 2002.

SCHOOL 2013 is basically the modern-day take on the 1999-2002 franchise. The new drama will focus on portraying realistic issues, struggles and dilemmas of today's youth as it follows the students and teachers of Seungri High School.

Kim Woo Bin and Lee Jong Suk
[We asked for more of Lee Jong Suk...and we got him! XD Hallelujah!!]
Lee Jong Suk (Secret Garden, High Kick 3) will be the main character of the students, Go Nam Soon. He's just your typical 18-year old student with no big goals for the future apart from graduating and just wants to get through life as simply as possible. However...
DUN-DUN-DUN~~ Here is where the drama comes in...
Go Nam Soon's simple and calm lifestyle is just the lull before the storm. When unexpected events come in knocking, things get a bit complicated. Ooooh >:] Just what could these "unexpected events" be?
Well so far, one of which includes the ever gorgeous - GORGEOUS! imo - Kim Woo Bin (A Gentleman's Dignity, White Christmas). Yes, he is back my fellow drama addicts!!
Kim Woo Bin plays Park Heung Soo, the new transfer student at Seungri High School - forced to transfer for unknown reasons as of yet, but I anticipate it is something to look forward to discovering. [Hint] It has to do with KWB's character "giving up his dream". I wonder what it may be o_O
With a face like thunder - as in he looks like a BAMF lol - KWB is a shoe in to play a character that is set to have an antagonistic relationship with Lee Jong Suk's character. He will also have an overall angry, rebellious-type demeanor. KWB plays the rebel well I am told - I'm definitely looking forward to t his :D
NOW FOR THE LADIES:
Park Se Young and Ryu Hyo Young
Park Se Young (Faith, Love Rain) plays "little miss perfect," Song Ha Kyung, the main lead. She has everything good going for her apparently--good looks, good grades, good family--LA-DEE-DA-DA~~Things are just good.
That is, things are only good materially because outside of that, Song Ha Kyung lacks what really matters in a young person's life--a dream. I know, sounds a bit cliche of me; however, everything SHK does, is completely driven by exceeding in school ONLY for the sake of going to a prestigious college.
To me, she seems like the kind of student that just wants to be able to say, "I got into Harvard" or "I graduated from Harvard." I feel like she's going to be the "doesn't know how to enjoy life" type of character, so throughout the progression of the drama, we may see her open up more and experience life as a young person typically should.
It'll be interesting to see how she opens up ESPECIALLY when it's rumored that she will have a bit of a romance with Lee Jong Suk's character! XD
Contrary to Park Se Young's character is Lee Kang Joo, played by 5dolls idol, Ryu Hyo Young (The Greatest Love, Jungle Fish 2).
Lee Kang Joo is one tough cookie. She has a Tomboy-ish demeanor and is quite the carefree, easygoing-type student. Even so, don't push your luck, because if you piss her off, don't be surprised if she beats the crap out of you. ;p

Jeon Ju Jin, Kwak Jung Wook (Shut Up! Flower Boy Rock Band), Kim Chang Hwan, T-Ara's Dani, Jung Yeon Joo (Dream High 2)

Choi Daniel and Jang Na Ra are reunited at last! Both Starred in Baby Faced Beauty. These two will be playing the leads in the teacher's generation.
While Daniel's character will be the wildly popular, rich, smart--a man of perfection it seems, Jang Na Ra's character will be your average down to earth kind of gal. Surely, these two will attract, I mean...opposites always attract, no?
