Addicted2dramas considers herself addicted to both dramas and mydramalist.com. A relatively new addict, her drama list is growing rapidly. And she likes to talk about her favourite dramas and characters a lot.
All Japanese drama male leads have their own appeal. We see different kinds of guys in every drama. Along with their hotness, their actions win us over completely. If one breaks our heart with their good behaviour, another one makes our hearts beat faster because of their bad boy persona and rough ways. It is of course, very difficult to include all the awesome guys, so I tried to compile a list of five guys that made me wish that they were real. All of these guys are ideal- as lovers or even friends. These are the people you would want to meet in real life.
Please note that the following text may contain spoilers.
So ready, set, here we go:
5. Yamada Sota (Zenkai Girl)
Sota's character is an utter sweetheart. He is probably the nicest and most harmless guy of all Jdramas. While nice guys are often 'boring', he is one guy who killed me with his cuteness. Not only is he a selfless person, he is also a talented chef. But he chooses to put his career on hold because of his young son. Awww. And he also manages to steal the heart of a stubborn and over-ambitious girl who looks down on him because of his poor status. He is warm and compassionate. He shows us that love can happen to people in spite of their differences in opinions and class. In the end, he proves the saying "Nice guys finish last" to be completely wrong.
4. Akiyama Shinichi (Liar Game)
Akiyama-san is a freaking genius. Anybody who's read the manga or watched Liar Game knows that. Not only that, he is one of those guys who is hard on the exterior but soft at heart. He, after all, helped a naive girl like Kanazaki Nao win the whole game. He is haunted by a dark past and that motivates him to carry on his revenge against the Liar Game committee. He proved to be a true friend to Nao who always helped her when she was in need and was the perfect kind of guy for her (or me). How I wish I could meet Akiyama-san in real life! Being played by Matsuda Shota was like a cherry on top for his character.
3. Hanazawa Rui (Hana Yori Dango)
It was tough choosing one guy from F4 in Hana Yori Dango, but I went for Hanazawa Rui because he was nice right from the beginning. I would want to meet a guy as handsome, rich and nice as he was in the show. He was the kind of guy Makino could always depend on and was also her first love. Although it was Domyouji for her in the end, he remained as her best friend who she respected a lot. He understood her problems and together they could have been great. Unfortunately, he lost when Makino chose Domyouji. Still, he manages to win here. I think the other three guys of F4 were great in their own ways but it would be hard to put up with a playboy, son of the mafia or a snob in real life. Hence, Rui is the ideal man.
2. Akira Kusano (Nobuta wo Produce)
Akira's character was something I call fun. Played by none other than Yamapi, he is a highly entertaining character. Not just his funny side, he was a true friend and loved his friends dearly. He was never judgemental towards his friends who were both weird in different ways. Plus, he never changed himself due to peer pressure which gives us the message that we should be proud of who we are. On the other hand, where Nobuta gets rejected by all her classmates he is always there to console her and also teaches her on how to build up her self-confidence (Nobuta Power Enter!). He was equally patient even while Shuji-kun went around with a fake behaviour in the school. Definitely someone you would love to meet in real life.
1. Nakatsu Shuichi (Hana Kimi)
Every person who has watched Hana Kimi couldn't help but laugh at the rib-tickling humour of Nakatsu. Sano was another candidate from this show, but for me, Nakatsu completely stole the spotlight. He was the star of Hana Kimi. Be it his homosexual worries or dancing with a bra on, he has always made us laugh. When he didn't make us laugh, our hearts broke for him while he fails to get the girl. He is a guy every girl would kill to have - the one who could make you laugh and at the same time love you unconditionally. He sure should have been real. Over that, Ikuta Toma pretty much brought the character of Nakatsu to life with his marvellous acting and the anime humour.
This was the end of my list. I am sure every person reading this has their own choice. If you agree, cool and if you disagree do let me know who your top 5 would be!
