NOT ADDICTING (AT ALL)

Usually when i write reviews i tend to be scared of saying i hated the series - the current world is full of rabid fansready to bite your head off in defense of their beloved show- but this one is quite the opposite because - im scared to say (that even if i didnt love it) that i didnt hate it as much as other people.

When they announced that there is going to be a Thai adaptation of the beloved chinese novel i was a little bit excited - first, both chinese adaptations didnt have the opportunity to finish the story and so i thought finally we' are going to see the ending, and second, I really liked the casting choice - granted i thought August was little too old to play the role conisdering the other 3 actors are quite young. Also after the disastrous HitBIteLove, I was really hoping to see Newyear and Jur (who is the only bright spot of that series) in a new and better series and although they casted them as support i was quite ok with it.

When i saw who is directing it my heart crashed- I am both at awe and fascinated how this director keeps getting a directing job because his previous works and ratings will speak for itself - but then they showed us a very strong first few episodes that I thought, wow, finally, the director is delivering something good. I loved the pacing, i loved the cinematography and i thought the location was absolutely beautiful.

And then the mess of the middle episodes happen. The silly silly annoying female characters (its almost a trademark of the director to portray girls as annoying characters in every series he makes). There was also quite a lot of glitchy editing that you'd wonder if you ever miss an episode or slept through something only to realize that you havent- its just the way the editing goes.

One of my biggest gripes is that they have not used NewyearJur to the extent that i was hoping for. Not only was Tiger almost non-exxistent in the last episode but did we really need that Only-Pop twist in the the finale? Really? Its like they forgot that Only and Tiger kissed at the penultimate episode.

Granted all theses points and comments, i also wouldnt discount the possibility that these issues may be a problem of adapting the source material. The novel and the original series is just filled with over the top red-flags from bullying to kidnapping to molestation and combine that with all the despicable characters. What this adaptation failed to do however, is make the series addicting - something both the chinese adaptation were able to do. It failed to make its adaptation unique enough and at the same time it was so afraid to fully immerse into the source material. What we get here is a very bland adaptation that is scared to make its mark. Im also sad to say that none of the actors here will be able to reach Johnny Huang's success after appearing in Addicted, in fact, for me it even diminished the shine of rising stars Newyear and jur.

Also one thing i need to mention - none of the earlier promos pointed to this being a Season 1 of 2. This is a very sh*tty trick by the makers. After all the fans clamour to finally execute a full Addicted Heroin series, they gave us this - its like a curse that none of them will ever get to finish the story. I think its finally time to give it a rest.

I also need to mention this very annoying trend that a lot of Thai series is making - the uncut and cut version. Does this actually work for them because its not only really useless in most of these series because sometimes there are almost no diffeerence to both versions or at the opposite side the editing of the cut version is so extreme the story just doesnt work anymore. If you cant decide what is the right version then there is a problem with your editor and director. Please enough of this. I have seen no one in the Thai industry who is doing this trick that is close enough to the caliber of a Snyder to warrant 2 versions of the same show per week so please just stop wasting our time and just do your jobs.

Will i recommend? No not at all - most specially if you have seen b oth chinese versions because theres nothing new here and you wont miss a thing. Will i rewatch? Seriously, not even if you pay me.

missed the mark (watch suggestions)

Overall: though this is based on a book which has 2 other live action adaptations, I tried my best to review this series on its own merits. That being said, I think some fans of the book and original adaptation will not like a few changes that the creators have made as they fundamentally changed 1 character which alters their dynamic to feel imbalanced. Aired 10 episodes about 1 hour long on WeTV (need to VPN to Thailand, cut version & uncut version https://wetv.vip/en/album/pgahblq3qny0xuz) and YouTube cut https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqQkseRPA8d53_Hg0wnBlDFwNtFBw6xo3&si=rpt7pbo4KhLJoAoj Later added YouTube uncut for channel members. You can tell you are watching the uncut version if ep 1 starts at a fancy event in a flash forward. The cut version starts with a bunch of students taking an exam.

Content Warnings (uncut): non con kissing/biting, fight, bullying, drugging, abusive parent/violence, transphobia, non con kiss, theft, kidnapping/held against will, punch, drugging, blackmail, homophobia

Watch Suggestions (this is for the uncut version, it cuts out some of the love triangle stuff)
- watch episodes 1 & 2
- episode 3 watch beginning to 12:15, 13-24:45, 36:25-40, 46-end
- watch episodes 4 & 5
- episode 6 watch beginning to 27 minutes
- episode 7 watch 22:15-23:35, 26:30-34:15 (if you want to see a character be unhinged), and 44 to the end
- episode 8 skip 14:40-38
- episode 9 skip 6:30-31 and skip 43:30-49:15
- episode 10 skip 31:15-37:30

What I Liked
- visuals (i.e. working out scene)
- countryside setting
- sweet moments
- that they modified a part in episode 7, the book appears to have been written in 2015 and I have no problem with adaptations changing some things from the source material
- that 1 character didn't get a redemption arc in the finale
- a decent plan in the finale
- satisfied with the way it ended even if there isn't a special or second season
- production value (especially how the opening scene transitioned into the flashback, however it needs better transitions overall)

Room For Improvement
- too much screentime on evil girlfriend/wannabe girlfriends cliche
- tried to cover way too much plot, the side couple would randomly appear and disappear, too much of the main couple's relationship development was done in a montage
- choppy (even the uncut), it quickly jumped from one scene to the next
- a character was toned down but then went very unhinged, the dynamic didn't work
- fake kissing (a reason not to cast a 16 year old and a 30 year old...)
- the transphobic comment in episode 3 which I think was supposed to be translated as "he's not even a real man, he's a trans friend of mine"
- too many flashbacks
- comedy sound effects, also the tone switching between comedy and serious moments didn't always work
- nonsense stuff ie in ep 10 characters didn't tell another character information because they thought it would make him sad so instead he was both sad and mad for many years
- one of the worst/most confusing releases I've ever seen, the youtube channel that released episode 1 was different from the channel that released episode 0, no subtitles even though there were supposed to be and then the subtitled cut version was removed from youtube shortly after it was available to watch, 1 week later ep 1 and 2 cut were back up with subtitles

Note About Actors' Ages (I didn't take off points for this but as an fyi, 1 actor was 16 when he filmed this, the other lead actors' ages were: 26, 17 & 18; age of majority in Thailand is 20)
- from the source material and as shown in the series, the characters are the same age, they start in high school and then later there is a time jump
- there were zero real kisses, the one supposedly intimate scene was very tame and only kissing the person's neck/close to their neck

please don't judge a book by cover.. don't judge the series because of the actors age..

(this review is from someone (me) who watched over 400 BL dramas) it's a good series.. not a series that can make history but as someone (me) who watched every version of Addicted the series I can guarantee it's a good remake... this series deserve more than what's it getting. I loved this series .. I know people are hateing this series because of age gap between the two actors but please do tell me why are you judging a series by the actors age.. the Chinese version of the series was a good one but it wasn't clear enough lots of people had trouble understanding the actual story of the Chinese version but in Thai was smooth and sweet there wasn't any Rush the story was busy to understand.. maybe that's why the heaters hated the series because it was not that complicated ? but I Loved it .. it watching

Teenage love is NOT as addictive as heroin

Gone are the days when film directors arrived at a shoot with the novel they intended to adapt under their arms and rolled around tearing off leaves and extracting from them what they considered most substantial. No scripts at the beginning of the silent era, when a good part of the narration was excluded from a film plot with few reels.
As the years passed, the adaptations were perfected and today every successful novel has a swarm of producers behind it interested in bringing it to the screens. Top-notch scriptwriters, high budgets, efficient period reconstruction, and yet interesting aspects of the book continue to be left out, mainly due to the time-footage factor, or for including thorny themes, such as stormy loves and obsessions, which can reach sexual violations, and that conditions the filmmakers.
This generally means that good novel readers are dissatisfied with the film or television versions. Which does not mean that cinema and television continue to adapt literary themes, because many who do not read—increasingly, unfortunately—enjoy good stories, thanks to bringing the books they were not able to read into moving images. arrive.
The year after filming 'Hit Bite Love', the daring series adorned with sexual scenes and sadomasochism, after debuting in 2013 with the film 'Tom Gay', which was followed by 'Let's Go Bangkok Holiday' and 'The Right Man: Because I Love You', and the series 'Love Sick Season 2', 'Make It Right' and 'War of High School', among others, in which he addresses topics such as homosexuality, homophobia, love triangles, romances secrets, infidelity, multiple partners, unrequited love, youth and the school environment, Yuan Tin Tun Danop, the Thai film and television director, returns to the small screen.
It does not bring just any series, but the adaptation of the novel "Are You Addicted?", by the Chinese novelist Chai Ji Dan, a work that in a short time has become a global success, acclaimed by many, while others describe it as problematic due to showing physical assault and sexual violation not consented by the victim.
Love, heartbreak, jealousy, intrigue, misunderstandings, betrayal, obsession, sexual violation, family tensions, eidetic memory... The thing is, despite this, or precisely because of it, this work has all the ingredients to conquer the public again and again, whether between the pages of the book, printed or digital, or in front of a screen thanks to the two ill-fated Chinese versions, since his work has been adapted to television for years without ever being completed.
After the publication of "Are You Addicted?", considered one of those global literary phenomena that came to sweep its path, criticism and comments poured in. Most to praise it and say that it was a magnificent way to tell a story of rape and love, others to reproach it for being an insult to all survivors of male sexual violence. Words like sexual assault, domestic violence, and vicious tort were uttered, and there were even accusations that the writer was defending the classic lie that rape awakens sexuality.
But in its human complexity and artistic excellence, the novel is much more than a chain of assumptions and requires readers free of conservatism and prejudices that prevent them from analyzing the psyche and attitudes of the protagonists. An exploration of intimacies proposed by the literary work to refer to the ravings of desire and obsession of a boy in love with another who resists him, without knowing in those moments that they are also stepbrothers. Without ignoring that after the act of sexual violence to which one of the characters is subjected, he must face a mental transcendence that leads him to fall in love with his attacker. All this, while we witness, in great depth, the dissection of two families, one wealthy and the other mired in poverty.
Although Chai Ji Dan is considered as irreverent as he is provocative, his work is demonstrative of good craftsmanship and imagination in abundance. There is a long list of films and series that mix romance and drama that equally combine explicit violence, the most disturbing sexual content and social criticism.
The sexual scenes that the Chinese novelist resorts to with total artistic justification seek the psychological introspection of the characters. Hence, we have to be attentive to looks, voices, emotional reactions, all in order to explore Gu Hai's human nature, a mixture of love and kindness, but also impulses, obsessions and denials occurring under the same addiction that gives the title to the novel.
And there is his girlfriend, Jin Lu Lu, also over the top with sex, and whose sudden appearance will represent a mess for him, who will see both his privacy and his life routine destroyed. Without forgetting that she embodies a past that Gu Hai is not willing to resume. While, on the other hand, he feels threatened by the possibility of losing Bai Luo Yin, the great love of his life, if he decided to reestablish his romantic relationship with Shi Hiu, his ex-girlfriend.
"Are You Addicted?" It deals with issues related to homosexuality, but at the same time it becomes a story of a beautiful and suffering humble family, and the relationship between father and son in an unpleasant environment marked by poverty. Diverse and very significant characters will then parade, with whom the reader comes to fall in love.
With the title 'Addicted Heroine', the unfinished television adaptation of the tumultuous love story of Bai Luo Yin and Gu Hai, has been taken up by Yuan Tin Tun Danop, to tell, in this Thai version, the story of Hero and Poopy, two teenagers who, despite their social differences and personal life paths, evolve from enemies to lovers, to forge a beautiful love relationship.
It is true that it is a story already told, but as I have already said, unfinished in its two adaptations: 'Addicted' (2016), by Chinese director Ding Wei, and 'Stay with Me' (2023), with script and direction by the author herself. Chai Ji Dan. From there arises the challenge to the imagination. But in my opinion, the director misuses it.
Although it has characters and a plot similar to the original work, the proposal by Yuan Tin Tun Danop, whose only experience as a director in adapting novels was with the unsuccessful BL series 'What the Duck', from 2018, the names of the characters and the approach to the relationship dynamics of the two main protagonists are different.
But to continue, and in case someone does not know exactly what the story is about, we leave you a brief introduction:
Hero Rahat, after the death of his mother, does not have a good relationship with his father. In the eyes of a 16-year-old teenager, the man, head of a wealthy family, with an authoritarian and dominant character, is responsible for the loss of the person who carried him in her womb. Bearing a deep grudge against him, Hero does not accept that his father, the military Kulchanchanaocha, has remarried. Therefore, due to constant disagreements, he decides to leave the family home to live with his aunt on his mother's side in a rural area.
For his part, for as long as him can remember, Poppy Luesil has lived a humble life in a poor social environment with him careless but loving father, Han Hanchai (Pep Nophasit Thiengtham). His parents divorced many years ago and since then Poppy has made the decision to stay with him father and forget about him mother, who has also made no effort to maintain a close relationship with him son. For this reason, Poppy has a shy and reserved character. Even so, using his intelligence and excellent penmanship, he has developed his skills, earning a good reputation as a diligent student and recognized as such.
When him turns sixteen, his estranged biological mother, Khing Jarinya (Meenay Jutai), remarries Hero's father. Khing's wish is that Poppy agrees to live with his new husband and his son so that she can obtain better training and prosper socially. However, Poppy categorically rejects that proposal and decides to stay with her father.
By chance of fate, the new stepbrothers meet in the same class at a secondary school, without being aware of the family ties they maintain with each other. Although at first their personalities clash and they have several school disputes due to Hero taking out his frustrations on the young boy, for which he constantly makes fun of him, they slowly develop a good friendship that later culminates in Hero's falling in love with Poppy, who no longer loves him. He feels love for his girlfriend Lala (Nall Nalliya Wipakkit), and will do everything possible to consolidate his relationship with Poppy.
The latter, who resists having a romantic relationship with Hero, will experience how the persistence and feelings of his new classmate and stepbrother will gradually overcome his barriers and resistance until, finally, he admits that his feelings also overcome the "friendship" label.
But after discovering the family bond that unites them, new problems will come to stand in the way of the two teenagers, and both must learn to use love to overcome class barriers and the obstacles of those around them.
His classmates, Tiger Yawamon (Yang Meng in the novel), a role assumed by the young actor Jur, and Only (You Qi in the novel), played by Newyear, who also show a romantic attraction between the two, witness the evolution of the relationship between the two young people, which crystallizes when they both go to live together in Poppy's humble family home.
With 'Addicted Heroine', Jur and Newyear continue their steps into the BL universe, after starring in the series 'Hit Bite Love' and the film 'Firstly "Like" You, fictions in which the former plays "Burger" Burinphat , and Newyear plays King.
With themes such as homosexual romance, coming of age, youth and their way of facing life, family roles, economic contradictions, daily life, self-discovery and acceptance, the series stars August Vachiravit Paisarnkulwong (remembered for playing Pete, one of the protagonists of the two seasons of 'Love Sick the Series', which marked his acting debut, nothing more and nothing less than under the orders of the director of 'Addicted Heroine') as Hero Rahat, and Mac Nattapat Nimjirawat as Poppy Luesil, in her first leading role after participating in numerous films and series, such as 'The Broken Us' and 'My Forever Sunshine'.
Unfortunately, despite some good performances from the cast, the series cannot be recommended to those readers of Chai Ji Dan's novel. The almost literal fidelity of the script to the text contrasts with the free choices made by the director.
It is evident that the changes in the personalities of the protagonists, the telling of the story with tones of vulgar comedy and not from the drama that the novel shows, as well as modifying the dynamics in the actions of the main couple, obey the intention of avoiding the scandal of narrating violent scenes including sexual assaults.
In this sense, the worst point is the literary script, which turns a great novelistic work into an extremely generic story, one of those that we have already seen a thousand times before, and that at some moments becomes meaningless, with unnecessary and at certain moments inexplicable twists and turns, which leads to the great probability of ending up in oblivion due to the way it was carried out by abandoning a solid construction of characters and conflicts in a trite idea.
In the profession of film criticism there is an unwritten rule, although obvious, which almost all of us observe in one way or another: try to strike a balance when evaluating, in terms of weaknesses and successes. Sometimes, that is almost impossible, and this series confirms it.
Despite the notable production values and worthy performances by August and Mac, the script has weighed down, altered and suppressed the strong chemistry and sexual tension between the new stepbrothers with conflicting emotional backgrounds that include previous relationships with old girlfriends, as well as the obsession of one of the boys with the other, which leads him to commit the vile act of sexual assault. The thing is that here we will not find those two fascinating and shocking personalities, so different and complex, which generate all the conflicts included in the original work.
The magic, the spell and the loving intensity of the characters that put the novel on a high level of erotic literature have been left on wet paper.
The result is a bland and clumsy series with a very weak romantic relationship that fans of the literary work do not like, but can be satisfactory for the millions around the world who log in every Tuesday to watch it and do not know the novel. In this case, they could admire and enjoy a beautiful love story between two boys, but nothing more.
In this sense, why adapt a work with that premise and then ignore it and not bring it to the screen? Wouldn't it have been much easier then to film an original script, even if it is loaded with love stories between stepbrothers and the relationship between enemies and lovers?
As part of the human instinct to look for different ways to tell a known story, 'Addicted Heroine' simply joins the long list of failed adaptations, and becomes a soulless television series, which is light years away from the novel on which his script is based. It is, quite simply, a bad mutation of one of the most beautiful erotic novels ever written.
The script is by Chim Sedthawut Inboon ('Never Let Me Go'), Park Thamsarun Khusunthia ('Club Friday Season 16: Young Love') and Poy Orachat Brahmasreni ('Gen Y Season 2'), the latter the only one of this trio of writers with previous experience in adapting original works, by bringing the content of the web novel "Love Syndrome III" to the screen in 2023, a series that also became a failure.
Another of the significant changes in the Thai series is the elimination of the romantic interest of the character of You Qi (Only, in the Thai version), the attractive and popular young man who keeps his homosexuality a secret, by Luo Yin. This ill-advised decision eliminates one of the sources of Hero's (Gu Hai) jealousy, making the series dispense with the rivalry, drama and tension that the love trio causes.
The strong paternal-filial bond of Bai Luo Yin (Poppy Luesil, in this adaptation) with his father Bai Han-qi ("Han" Hanchai in the Thai version), does not reach the intensity and drama of the original work. His humble life in a poor social environment with his sick grandmother and father is weak.
Gu Hai's (Hero) deep resentment towards Gu Wei Ting, his father, for blaming him for his mother's death, is laughable at best.
The character played by August is just a shadow of the character that came from the pen of Chai Ji Dan. No matter how hard he tries, he does not achieve the vibrations that awaken that strong-willed but lonely student who wants to free himself from the influence of his authoritarian father and has difficulty expressing his emotions until the moment he knows true love. Knowing that he is a proven and recognized actor, I assume this is due to the weak drawing of his character in the literary and technical script.
But in my opinion, the biggest mistake is having turned the strong and independent character played by Mac into a lame perfect student overwhelmed by shyness and timidness.
Despite its beautiful photography and remarkable music, the series does not awaken in me the same emotions that I experienced when reading the novel. This is mainly because the greatness of the original work and the two failed Chinese versions of it lies in the strength and independence of the personalities of the two protagonists and the inevitable clash of the same, and this is weighed down with the changes introduced in 'Addicted Heroine', which murder the novel.

Thais can't adapt a foreign story....

After we had Cherry Magic and My Love Mix-Up, I had not much hope that any thai production company can adapt a non thai story. And they did not disappoint.

Why do they think, they have to make anything into a comedy with material that does not match. "Addicted Heroin" is neither funny nor a comedy. It does not make sense to have a serious story made with lot's of comedy elements (and it's stupid sounds). I can't fail the actors who all did a very good job in most scenes. Even Mac as newcomer performed much better than I would have expected. Regardless the writing was as usual lazy especially with the finale.

The final episode was confusing. The bad dad should have a relevation, so it does not make sense that both of them run away... And they are 17 or so... where can they run? Also the second couple was confusing as well and we do not know if they got together after they have chased each other for 8 episodes, than a strange reveal that "Only" was into "Pop" which did not make much sense for me.

What they also did not incorporated was the passion for each other. No time in the series I had the feeling they burn for each other. It was mostly childish or awkward. And due to the underage of Mac there is no kissing. The only highlight of the whole show was the family of Pop's dad. So in summary, this was a bad adaption as well. The series without the knowledge of the novels was not even medicore, especially because the finale does have too many loose ends and unlogical "conclusions".

they missed what made addicted so good.

I really stuck through and watched each week trying my hardest to disconnect the source material from the series. but in the end it was impossible to do.

the point of addicted was how “addicted” the two main leads were for each other. they were toxic to a fault but their bond they had was indescribable. they wouldn’t only let the world burn for the other, they would gladly lite the match— and that is what we were missing in this adaptation. we didn’t get the fiery passion that the addicted novels needs. that’s the whole point of the books.

I will say I am glad the production took care of Mac and had no kissing or NC scenes since he is underage. It was the right thing to do, however, in casting someone underage it made them restricted in how they could portray this story and certain elements of it so we lose parts of plot that made addicted — well addicted.

if you are comparing this to the source material, the original addicted, or Stay with me, you more than likely will be disappointed. not to mething we once again are left without a season 2. however, if you’ve never see the others or are REALLY good at compartmentalization you might enjoy this. if you removed the addicted elements you’re getting a sweet love story between to young guys.

I would be amiss to not mention how I think this story could have been saved even removing the addicted elements, if the editing wasn’t atrocious. there were so many times it’s made zero sense. between the cut and uncut, the pieces they cut were needed to understand the plot better. it was very disjointed at times.

not to mention there were FAR too many times we didn’t get subtitles. it was a crapshoot if we’re get them each week or not. which made my excitement for the following week dwindle more and more.

overall, I don’t think we’ll ever get a proper adaptation of the addicted books. and I’m pretty sure they should stop trying. especially, if they cannot guarantee we get a second season or the whole adaptation be in one season. I will note I appreciated how this version handled the more upsetting scenes that were in the books.

I will say I don’t think this is the fault of the actors. yes Mac is underage but I don’t think he is a bad actor and August played his character decently with guidance of the director. I’ve seen far worse acting in Thai dramas. I truly believe this was a misstep from day one by the director and production team.

oh addicted, no one can ever live up to how truly unhinged you are and I hope unless we can get a proper casting/ company to produce it they stop trying. you deserve better and so do the fans of the books.

Aaaah no...... There is paint to watch dry.

This is not it. Definitely not it. The entire production team should be fired and be hired in a butcher shop. I actually cannot believe, a series as important as this, was left to be cut in so many parts, that nothing resembles each other. It was pure determination that I endured to the end. At this point A Secretly Love could be a masterpiece compared to this and that was baaaaad!!!!! After watching A&H, it would have been easier to be on a small boat during a storm in the middle of the ocean with one paddle.

Cons....
1. Poor script
2. Poor translation
3. Choppy scenes
4. Why place an adult with a minor to make a film with adult themes and can not do adult scenes? I'm not speaking of nc scenes. Attraction / passion / desire. Casting was horrible.
5. Main actors could have done more workshops. Infact, the entire cast.
6. Terrible direction.
7. Inconsistent storylines.
8. The distance between main and second leads are oceans apart. Pop and Hero look college age and Tiger and Only look like babies. How are they in the same class? How were they connected again? Never mind, that's one brain cell I saved. Not worth knowing.
9. What was the purpose of Poppy's mother marrying Hero's father, when he treated her like trash? He could have just bought a watch to put on his hand if he wanted to feel something hanging on. Even they, didn't have any chemistry.
10. What is the purpose of having a special episode and season 2 when the first one was so horrible. There are enough starving children in this world, give the money to them, rather that creating a greater abomination.
11. So no reasonable conclusion for Tiger and Only. Poof....disappear ?‍♀️
12. Putting two good looking people together do not make chemistry. How well you interact and feed off of each other, makes the chemistry. Pop's father had more chemistry with his second wife and child than they did. Again, because of the limited interaction.
13. Uncut means what exacly? That Hero can use the word sex in a sentence? That his father can shoot at him? Not once but twice?
14. Mac's / Poppy's nasal monotone delivery was not doing anything to his presence. 16 is relatively young so he has time to get better.

Pro:
1. The scene where Pop goes to apologizes outside Hero's condo and Hero quietly walks up to him and holds the food with him. ??
2. Ep 10 when Hero is in the attic and Pop says he will starve with him and sleep on the grass for him. ??
3. August and Mac are good looking.
4. Whatever they paid Poppy's father wasn't enough, he actually made it better. Pop and his father delivered in this role as parent and child.

Yup, that's it. I was hoping with each episode they would capture some charm like the original or even SWM but no, this complete mess should NEVER be visited again. And when I say never, I do mean never. Can't help but feel with a better cast and production team this could have been magical. Sigh.

This could be better if the actors is in the right age to do the kissing scene because the actors' age gap surpresses the real mean of the show . Overall it great to watched not what i expect it to be... i thought the story will have twist since it is made by thailand but i didn't see any different from other adaptation. i think this will be better if they will make season 2 with the same actors in the right ages so that they can play various scene that makes watchers feel excite. hopefully at 2026 they will make a season 2 hopefully this love team can have another series when he is in the right age

Well I have never wrote a review in my life but i wanted to write for this one cause felt this is a bit underrated and getting a lot of hate.

First of all i was eagerly waiting for this Series to come out cause I loved Stay with me so much. And honestly this did not dissapoint me. In my opinion story, acting and casting are superb. I enjoyed watching this and I cannot wait for Season 2.

Ever wanted to be a child loving sicko, this show is designed for you

This show is child PooRn. It's illegal in most English speaking countries.

One actor is 16 the other is 27 and theres even an uncut version. Absolute disgrace. This is a legal case coming up. The director confirmed there would be NC scenes with the child. He specifically hires child actors for these roles
