Good Enough

" Shanai Marriage Honey " is an adorable drama. It's light, short and easy to watch. The story is presented in a fast, almost hectic, pace, as the romance starts straight from the first episode. Still, the drama kept things interesting and fresh till the very ending.

The thing that really helped with that was the chemistry between the two leads. They were hands down adorable together, and they had many cute, sweet moments. They had some hot moments too, and their romance, somehow, progressed smoothly and realistically.

The performances, finally, were great from everyone in the cast. Though the drama focused on the main couple, and so, the side characters didn't have much time to shine, they were all decent.

So, overall, seven out of ten.

Fluffy, no angst

What happens when you get married the day you meet someone? That is the story for this 7-episode show. You know, sometimes you just need a show that doesn't require a lot of commitment. This was perfect for that. This show is fluffy and cute, with literally no angst involved. No evil characters, no parents trying to keep them apart, no crazy woman trying to take the lead away from someone else.

Itagaki Mizuki is so handsome. It's a shame that part of the time he was doing an imitation of a sheepdog and his hair was completely covering his beautiful eyes.
Matsui Airi was so cute. I was kind of bothered by her attempts to try to BE cute. These two were very sweet together.

Aside from the show being nice and short, there was more skinship than I remember ever seeing in any Asian drama in the past. You know, sometimes it's also nice to get away from the open-eyed, arms-straight-at-your-side kisses. I realize that it's a cultural thing to a certain extent. One of the reasons I enjoy these shows is because they are clean and leave pretty much everything to your imagination. However, it's always nice to see a couple and get the feeling that they might actually like one another, and that she's not terrified of being approached.

So, I didn't feel like I wasted my time watching this show. Again, it was very cute.

A Very fresh story with a much seen plot! Indeed a MUST WATCH !!

To start with, This drama is different from the Normal and very cliche Arranged Marriage Dramas ..It really is more than what you read in the summary..It’s Fun and also I very lovely drama. I teaches you how communication is required in a Relation and how LOVE can even happen After Marriage and Bloom....

This is a GREAT romantic drama! From beginning to end, the leading couple shows an explosive chemistry even by just looking into each other’s eyes and brightly smiling! The love story develops fast and it remains fresh and fun to watch. The leading male and female are honest, true to their feelings, and not afraid of becoming vulnerable and strong by loving and been loved by their partner. It is a refreshing portray of two persons that rush into marriage out of their own needs at the moment and choose to make the marriage work by putting their heart and soul into making everything possible to make the other person fall in love by giving the best of each other. This drama is perfect!

Drama japonês tem seu estilo próprio, que aliás, eu gosto muito. E esse não poderia ser diferente já que foi adaptado do mangá "Shanai Marriage Honey" de Fujiwara Emi.

Haruta acabou de sair de um relacionamento de longa data e está triste por não querer ficar sozinha, então entra em um site de relacionamento e encontra um homem em busca de alguém para casar. Totalmente seguindo o fluxo do momento, ela aceita se casar com Miura.

Um jovem trabalhador e muito esforçado, mas não quer esperar muito para casar. E em uma cerimônia às pressas, mal sabendo informações sobre o outro, Miura acaba entrando num relacionamento às cegas.

O que me fez começar esse drama foram os episódios curtos e uma dinâmica que me prendeu desde o começo. Mesmo sendo estranhos, Haruta sabe que precisa conviver bem com Miura, e logo nesse primeiro momento em que percebe que casou sem amor, decide que fará o marido se apaixonar por ela.

Fui totalmente sem expectativas, apesar de gostar muito de tramas com relacionamentos fakes e contrato de casamento, e foi isso que recebi. Mas fui totalmente surpreendida por Miura ser um homem amoroso e que sentia o mesmo pela esposa. E é tão bonitinho o modo como eles vão se aproximando, tendo uma rotina normal de casados apesar do desconhecido, como a relação evolui, vão se abrindo e deixando as inseguranças em segundo plano.

Fiquei esperando que o segredo para Miura querer casar rápido fosse algo relacionado ao trabalho, mas quando é revelado o motivo, é tão bonito e faz o personagem ter uma personalidade tão bonita e intensa.

É um drama que apesar de ser avaliado para maiores de 14 anos, tem temas como a primeira vez e sexo, apesar de não serem cenas explicitas, mas muitas delas deixam a intenção bem clara.

Eu amei os atores e fiquei com vontade de ver outros dramas com eles, pois fizeram um casal muito bonito.

Indico muito para quem curto o tema de casamento por contrato e está precisando de um bom drama japonês.

Much different that the old J-drama's I used to watch

Let me just start this off by saying the "contract marriage" concept is not new however the way they presented this trope is very refreshing.

I haven't watched a J-drama since 2009 so I was surprised how much the culture has changed since then. There is no unnecessary drama or waiting 10 eps before a character confesses or kisses. It's a very sweet story of two people who accidentally fall in love while already married and the cute miscommunications that almost every couple experiences. I really loved this series and gave so many butterflies and good feelings. ALSO THE OPENING SONG IS SO CUTE!

Unconventional, but fluffy marriage drama

This drama basically sums up the joys and predicaments of early marriage life in 7 episodes.

It's a short one that won't hurt you if you'd like to give this a try 'coz the story is quite interesting. Maybe that's also the reason why the turn of events are so fast-paced, and I appreciate this drama for being so straightforward! Y'all won't waste time dealing with the MC's emotional hullabaloos and dragging plots we normally see in lengthy dramas.

I love it! There may be some scenes that seem shallow and nonsense, but bearable as the drama in itself has been offbeat on the onset. Also, I never expected it to be such a positive drama, like there were neither toxic nor shady characters and the romance developed swiftly but stable until the end. Another plus would be the skinships! I think all episodes have bed scenes in them except for the 1st one. But that's just a plus factor, the drama is overall cute tho (why am I explaining argh HAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

If you want a breath of fresh air from watching lengthy dramas, then go for this! Each episode is roughly 30 mins so it feels like you just watched a 3-hour movie as a whole.

Short and sweet!

*Story*
The Story was sweet and cute. If you like really fluffy Romance Drama with no Conflict or anything. Than Shanai Marriage Honey is a perfect drama. There are only 7 episodes (25min.) So I would say it's worth it to check it out.
I liked the living together story and also that they got married, while not even knowing eachother was quite interesting.
But I would've enjoyed it more if it had more conflict. There is a second male lead, but he never really does anything. And the way that The Main male lead just suddenly revealed his reasons for getting married so soon was kinda rushed and I thought there were deeper reasons behind it. Also I thought there were more things going on with his mom.
Since it's a short drama. There romantic Relationship already began on the 2 episode.

I think if it had more conflict it would definitely be more interesting. But it was sweet and fluffy.

*Acting*
The Main Male lead had nice eyes (^w^) and overall the acting was quite good. The Main Female lead also fit the role great and overall I enjoyed it.

*Music*
I liked the theme song and the music fit the theme very well.

*Rewatch Value*
I think watching it once was enough.

Now that I rethink about this drama I'll give it a 6/10. It just didn't have much of a plot. Most marriage dramas at least have a love triangle or something, but this didn't have much. But then again if you like a lot of fast paced romance than it's perfect for you.

Full of fluff and laughter

I do not know why this was rated so low. I thought it was due to either poor characters, writing, but no, it's perfectly fine. As in, it's a very optimistic view - well more far fetched but I'm here to get out of touch of reality - of marrying a stranger. Especially from a dating app. As you know, there can be creeps but thankfully this doesn't even touch that. Not even the slightest. It's fluff pure on fluff which I love especially of a what if scenario that while may very foolish to some, it has a chance to work and it did. I laughed and smiled watching this. That's all I could ask for since I don't want to see misunderstandings turn to tears. I'm in my 30s, I don't need to see the hard parts of life anymore. I get it and I've went through them even. I just want a piece of happiness and boy did this deliver.

Let's get to the nitty gritty.

Story: It's very rare to find a couple whom works in the same company and in different departments. However, the reasons they do marry are real: he doesn't want his mom to worry about him living alone and for her, she wants to marry after a break up due to a cheating fool. I don't give cheaters second chances and she thankfully tells him off when the shows for a little bit at the start and then thankfully disappears after that. Praise be! The couple then finds themselves at crossroads of the simplest and big things for a couple. I won't say what, but trust me when I say this: if you want to see a nice short series of people willing to talk out things, then watch this. It's a breath of fresh air that is so refreshing.

Don't watch for the drama, it has a sprinkle of it and that's it since it doesn't drag on and on. All speed bumps are solved in a very realistic manner which I appreciate and thankful for. That isn't to say it's done quickly, it's done *right*.

Acting/Cast: The two leads have incredible chemistry to where I could get numerous cavities and the steamy scenes (they show no nudity) are very well done. The kisses sometimes are awkward but not to the point where they're tense. Rest of the cast are real and the acting was great, though I did want some more reactions of when the leads eventually told their coworkers about being married.

Music: It was so good that it didn't distract me and that says a lot for me. It fit the mood where it needed to, couldn't get better than that.

Rewatch Value: Heckin yes I will rewatch this later on the road whenever I need a sweet fluff love story pick-me-up.

Tl;dr: Watch for the fluff, don't expect much drama. Fantastic chemistry between the leads and a lovely - even if far fetched - plot. Sometimes we need a feel good short series.

Binge for a lazy afternoon

If you're looking for a drama with any conflict or relationship angst, this is not for you. This drama is about a couple getting to know each other and doesn't do much else. The cast have good chemistry and that's about it. The story itself is simple, and whenever conflict arises, it fizzles out quickly to compensate for its 20 minute running time.
Sadly the heroine does suffer from the typical self-doubt that most heroines suffer in Jdrama rom-coms but it's not over the top so it can be forgiven. Overall, I binged it on a public holiday and it filled some time. Nothing bad, but not brilliant. 8 stars because it's a fluff piece and if you hate conflict then this would be ideal for you.
