This story left a scar on my heart and I'm thankful for it.
Watched it two times already <3I am genuinely in love with this drama, it's in my TOP3 best TV series I've ever watched.
At first I thought that the story is going to be more focused on CODA-parents relationship (i did not read the synopsis so I was unaware of the time travel trope at first lol) but I liked the story that I was given just as much. This drama played with my emotions so much, I would giggle durning one scene and get teary-eyed on the next one. I believe all the actors did their best to execute their roles. I personally can't point out any significant issue, loved the story, execution, pace, actors, music.
[tiny spoiler]
My only little wish would be to know if the world EungGyeol orginally came from moved on without him or stopped existing but I guess it is an unavoidable concern of anyone who get themselves invested in a 'time-travel' story so I try not to think about it.

VIVA LA VIDA!!!
Ikik there were many new kdramas of this year that are amazing. but this isn't just a k drama. while watching it, it wasn't just the subtitles i read, but also the emotions i could relate to. the story isn't all about romance and 'I like it. it's balanced.in perfect words, explains how life of genz is.childrens tned to misunderstand thier parents and parents tend to do the same. but then in the end parents wants it for thier children's good and children's wishes for thier parents happiness too.
there were many and many things portrayed veryy well in this drama. absolutely twinkling. the cast, ost, acting, story. everything was just perfect. i like how the writers tried to make the time travel realistic by not changing yi Chan's deafness.other than this too their were many things that were thought of beautifully.
everyday i had thoughts of what had happen next. the amount of attached i was to this drama is just... unexplainable. it's just beautifully portrayed and amazingly written. a comfort drama indeed.
A drama I'd like to rewatch again.

Absolute Banger of a series. And I know bangers!
WATCH IT, WATCH IT, WATCH ITRoller coaster of emotions dude. Like this show will have you so invested you wont even know what time it is. You will not care if you have work or school the next day you just want to keep watching but then at the same time ITS SO GOOD that you dont want to keep watching because you dont want it to end.
Like bro after every episode I go to the kitchen and get water and I'll be doing sign language on my way to the kitchen. I don't even know If that even makes sense but I'll be so hype I just be moving my hands.
Do yourself a favor and watch the show. First 2 episodes might have you confused for a bit like me but after that its really nice.

Best Kdrama Ever!!!?
This was definitely worth watching. The story was amazing and I never got bored! Though it was a really sensitive topic (personal reasons) I enjoyed watching this series even tho I probably cried nonstop the last 4 episodes.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyway, I Immediately fell in love with the characters too! It was so natural. We need more Kdramas like this. You don't need romance to enjoy a series.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was very touching and I hope you'll try and watch it too!
xx your best friend ;)

It really is like a cool watermelon that you eat on a scorching day
I actually know this drama by chances after seeing some review of them in twitters. I think it’s one of my best decisions that i actually decided to watch this. I actually had a rough time from this past months after my grandmother passed away and with many other problems in my workspace. But this drama cheered me up so much and gave me the strength i need in my weakest state and made me look forward to monday-tuesday that usually not my favorite days.If you guys searching for a comforting and heartfelt drama with so much meaning in them then this drama is the one for you. It makes you reminisce your youth and give you reasons not to give up on your dreams! As expected from our genius screenwriter Jin Soowan-nim!! (She also wrote Kill Me Heal Me, The Moon that Embraces the Sun, and Chicago Typewriter).
And not to forget the casts!!! Oh my god the casts are insane, they really ate and left no crumbs ?. I really love the chemistry between the four of them!! How chaotic but inspiring Yi Chan and Eun Gyeol, how lovely and pure Cheong Ah and Yi Chan, how silly but reliable Eun Gyeol and Eun Yoo, and our underated pair Cheong Ah and Eun Yoo that need more screentime because both of them look so cute together. And i really love how chaotic Watermelon Sugar are!!. I really am going to need a very very long time to move on from all of them and this beautiful drama. I really look forward to these actors and actresses future projects because all of them are just that good in acting. Thank you and love you Twinkling Watermelon!!! ?♥️??

little joy, a pinch of pain, and a WHOLE LOT of comfort ?
you know that deep, lingering longing you feel after finishing a really good kdrama? that's exactly what i'm feeling now, after ages! the characters, their connections – it all just got to me so fast.i'm not gonna lie, part of me is still annoyed that eungyeol couldn't stop the accident. watching someone as bright as leechan, who was his grandma's hope and the light of everyone's world, go through such pain is just heartbreaking.
but even with all that, this show's going to stick with me. it's like a glimpse into the youth i never got to experience.

Viva La Vida!!!
One of the best kdrama I've ever watched!! To be honest I was getting fed up with the recent kdramas and I was so into Cdramas. This is the kdrama I've watched after a loooong time. It's really amazing. The plot is amazing and the cast is amazing everything is perfect. Way more beyond the typical kdrama plot. Fiction but still feels amazing. gives good life lessons. You must watch it and it's not boring at all. It's a mixture of all the emotions. Happy, sad, angry, confuse, excite, disappointment, guilt, regret everything is there. Best Drama (Kdrama) I've watched in 2023!!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

Refreshing Youth Drama
I was really curious about the hype this drama got and finally got to watch it after it was done airing and I get the hype. I laughed and cried at the same time. All the actors did such a great job and it just shows how you should really just try to enjoy your youth and not live for other people whether it eb your parents. I wish we could see more of the life they had after the time travel. The young actor of Ha Yi Chan is such a gem, I'm glad he's gaining more popularity, I first watched him in Racket Boys - which is another youth drama to watch, and he did well in his role. His chemistry with Chung A is top notch, their scenes are just so beautiful to watch. His chemistry with Ha Eun Gyeol as well is really fun and touching as well. Actor of Ha Eun Gyeol - I cannot even put into words but he also did justice to his role, and he needs to be recognized more! I cannot imagine other actors playing the roles of the younger version of them 4.
This drama is one of the few dramas I got to watch in less than a week!

Certainly not overrated as people believe it to be.
Twinkling Watermelon had a bit of everything. It was one of those dramas that would definitely stay with me for all my life. It had a lot of funny moments, it made me shed a lot of tears, but most importantly, it made me love and understand my parents a bit more. There were a lot of relationships that I was rooting for throughout the show, but my favourite was the father-son bond between yi chan and eun gyeol. The way despite his upbringing and lack of a father figure Ha Yi Chan became an ideal father to his sons, and how Eun Gyeon despite witnessing how childish yi chan was in the past went over and beyond to find a way to give yi chan the 'twinkling youth' he wanted for himself is absolutely heartwarming.I don't understand why people call this show overrated when there are plotless chichéd shows like My Demon and Marry My Husband rated so high. Many of the comments here compare the show to Weak Hero, maybe because of Hyun Wook. But as much as I liked Weak hero, it is no match to Twinkling Watermelon. Weak hero had a weak storyline (pun intended), it was character driven where the protagonist faces bullies, starting from highschool level to literal gangs. That's it. And yet there is hardly anyone calling it overrated with a 9.1. If this show was an action thriller, none would have a problem.
It is a youth drama with a simple plotline and some plot holes for sure, but the emotions and the message behind all the fun scenes are so deep that I believe all the action-maniacs fail to understand. It was a simple show for sure, but it had some of the most complex storylines and characters I've come across in any drama until now. Thrillers are easier to write, creating stories and character that touch your heart and make you root for them without the characters having some forced past trauma is hard. Twinkling Watermelon is not overrated. It is the second best kdrama I've watched in a long time, the first being Itaewon Class.
Despite all that rant, I understand there were tons of minor and major plotholes in the show. It's okay to have different opinions, it's okay to not like something. I've seen comments saying people rate this show based on their emotions, but it's that the main purpose of any show? If there is a story good enough that compels the audience to be irrational enough to ignore all the plotholes, I believe it definitely deserves a 10, because it's never about how good it is, and always about how it made you feel during and after.

Masterpiece
What can I say about this drama? Absolute perfection from start to finish. Storyline, Characters, Pacing, OSTs, Casting, Acting, Screenplay, Comedy all perfect. Not to mention the young age of the 4 lead actors and actresses. Brilliant performance by them. especially the deaf characters, to portray such emotions without making any sounds, making us the audience feel the emotion too, god damn they are good. Also promote sign how beautiful sign language is and I would love to learn it
Hopefully Twinkling Watermelon can receive more international recognition as I don't see a pot of international audience talking about this drama on social media

10/10 suggesting.
no way I'm getting over this in a month, it'll take a lot of time to get over. ALso,
