Both are visually stunning gothic horror romances directed by Guo Jingming. This particular director has a distinctive visual storytelling style that's present in all of his works.

This is a has a similar spy storyline but the setting is political instead of the martial world, and the overall tone is lighter and not as dark. Ryan cheng is the male lead , and his character is like a combination of both male leads from this series. The main female lead isnt as cold or manipulative as either female leads in this series, she’s more innocent but not naive. The second set couple set of characters are more immoral than outright evil and which gives them more interest.

This is a short series approx 12 min. per eps. the story is more compact and world building isn’t as rich in detail, but it’s still an enjoyable watch.

Inspired by the romance of Liang Shang Bo and Zhu Ying Tai, the story revolves around two lovers who will overcome all obstacles to remain together. With every episode, "My Journey to You" reminds me of Joy of Life because of the mind games between the characters. Both are also of wuxia genre (non-traditional) but have wonderful plot lines. Albeit, Joy of Life has attempted assassinations on male lead while the main lead in My Journey To You is the assassinator. Both are amazing dramas to watch and keep your brain eager for the next clue and episodes.

The series tells the story of Yun Wei Shan, a spy longing for freedom, who infiltrates the Gong residence to complete a mission. In the eerie and treacherous Gong residence, she encounters love and friendship, embarks on a journey of self-discovery, and finds the determination to move forward. Together with the rebellious nobleman Gong Zi Yu, they grow and mature through their shared experiences.

The two drama are directed by the same director. Although the stories of two dramas are different but the cinematography, costumes, visual are all beautiful and rather similar. The cast from the main leads to support roles of two dramas are all great and act well.

Both are "spy novel" dramas where secrecy is key.
Secret organizations, check.
Brainwashed organization members, check.
FL leads are great fighters, check.

While a "League of Nobleman" isn't a spy drama, it is a mystery drama. It also has a dark theme, good aesthetics and cinematography. It has some palace intrigue. It's a "Smart" drama like "My Journey to you". No romance though, story is bromance/friendship based. The ending wraps up pretty good.
