Deka Wanko (2011)

This show is very ordinary in the way it is a very typical detective drama with the main person helping to solve cases. The only thing difference is that the main character girl called Wanko, is very cute. She dresses in the gothic lolita fashion and has the sense of smell like a dog. She uses her keen sense of smell to solve cases and her very outgoing and honest personality is what makes her a very lovable character. Other detectives she work with are also very entertaining and funny in the way they act and everyone in this drama is very comical in their own way. This show is not at all serious and is made for a very cute feel. Honestly I felt like the show ended in a very ambiguous way and was very disappointing, but all the other episodes were entertaining. So if you like watching cute dramas with a detective feel, then I would greatly recommend this drama.

As a fan of of Gokusen I wanted to watch this show despite the fact that it was a police drama instead of a school one and I do not regret my decision. This show is funny and well paced, but the ending feels like it lacked something.

The story is simple. Rookie detective Wanko has a nose similar to a canine and together with the rest of section 13 solves cases. As an episodic series there is no major plot. Their was one subplot that ran until the last few episodes, but other than that no major plot. It is a charming comedy that will keep you laughing. The only problems I had with it is lack of mystery and the fact that this story is episodic. Don't get me wrong as a crime show it had interesting cases, but many of them were too predictable. As for it's episodic ways it's not that I hate those type of series, for crying out loud I love Spongebob, its just I'm not use to them.

The characters were amazing. Wanko(Tabe Mikako) is a funny heroine who fashion sense is cute. She leads the men case after case with her strange ways. The others characters were interesting as well and had something cool about them. The main thing I loved about the characters was there wasn't a character you hated, there wasn't a boring character, they all captured you with their charm. The actors did a great job on this show.

My favorite part of this show is the music. It is so catchy that I can overlook the same theme being played over and over again. The trumpet is fabulous matching it's detective theme. Overall, a great show that is underrated. I'd recommend any detective fan or comedy fan to watch it.

Cute fashionable funny detective drama thanks to Tabe Mikako. She suits comedy best and she showcased her comedic skills yet again in this drama 'cause I have seen her other dramas which she showcased her comedic skills like Yamada Taro. I love the concept of the drama which includes fashion in which she has lolita style making the drama much more colorful while it's all about solving cases/crimes. It's not your typical detective drama because it's fun. Tabe Mikako's character has the ability to solve cases because of her keen smell just like a dog which is a good twist or addition to the story because it made her stand out from the other detectives. I enjoyed the drama and I might re-watch it again. The acting of other artists are fine even Tegoshi. Music also suits the drama which makes the drama livelier.

It's been Ages since I watched this, all the way back to when I first started watching dramas. I've tried, to no avail, to find the whole thing with subs somewhere, but my search has always been fruitless. Or I would find it but no way to download it. It's one of those drama's where either you like it, or you don't. It requires some buy-ins that not everyone is going to be on board with. The idea that someone could have a sense of smell as strong as a dog's. The idea that someone who wears a frilly, Japanese street fashion would become a police officer. The idea that they would wear said fashion while on the clock. The idea that all of this happens at the same time. If you can't buy into all of that, then this drama is very much not for you.

Luckily for me, I have no problem buying into all of that, so this drama is very much for me, lol.

I fully admit that it's goofy and over the top and unbelievable in every aspect. And I that's why I bloody love it. I love that she has a sense of smell as strong as a dog's. I love that she wears Lolita, and to crime scenes, no less. I love the potential (but never actually fulfilled) romance. I am an unabashed fan of this drama, and I will be forever.

Приступила я к этой дораме с некоторой опаской, во первых, детективные меня уже задолбали, а во вторых, она же по манге, со всеми вытекающими. Однако, на выходе получилось очень даже неплохо, а местами вкуснотища. А еще там был Тегоши.
Понравилось то, как манговские моменты ненавязчиво вплетали в кадр, с помощью реплик в сторону, культурологических отсылок и прочее, очень трогательно. Главная овчарка Михаил просто очаровательна, а уж когда у главной героини в голове возник образ этого Михаила в мужском обличии - повеяло мощнейшим ароматом любовных романов.
Девочка симпатичная, а уж ее субкультура И фиг ее сдвинешь со своей точки зрения на себя и на жизнь.
Ну и традиционно, Тегоши пощеголял в платьице, отсутствие этого никто бы не понял.
