Finally short drama that have proper ending

Sometimes a little bit frustrated with short drama or movie. Because it's short so they make the duration as short as possible, by give it open ending or cliffhanger. This drama for short drama has very good plot, short but not all over the place & still on the track of the plot.

I really love how this as a short drama, because I think when this become normal drama the plot will gonna be all over the place & not focus with the track, which is making the wine & the decision Meng Yu Fan had to make.

What a little bit frustated, is how can Xie Xun in the end come to the modern world is never explained. Maybe if the normal drama they will elaborate this more.

The other thing that I love about this short drama, they never really has love rival & all the love find it own place. Although at first I think they plan to make Xiao Tang the love rival, but due to the duration that never really happen. & I really like they never body shaming Murong Shang.

Overall this is really one good short drama.

Childe Xie’s Wine is a nice and cute romance fantasy miniseries with a good plot. The story is straightforward and uncomplicated with minimal amount of characters. The drama uses a technique called “breaking the fourth wall” which is a common convention in Asian theatre traditions where actors interact directly with the audience, in this case, the viewer. The drama is a comedy so there are some awkward scenes but the cast did a great job delivering their characters; the leading couple has very good chemistry and many tender moments but their kissing scenes, although nicely done, were always blurred or seen from a distance. Still, been that is a short drama, it is worth watching if the viewer is looking for something lighthearted and simple to kill some time. Enjoy it!

Low budget but surprisingly cohesive.

Unexpectedly solid for a mini drama. As always, I loved Fan Zhixin's acting, and the FL and 2 supporting actors did amazingly for such a small production.

I expected a lighthearted watch and was not disappointed, but I also didnt expect to cry at the heart-wrenching scenes as Meng Yufan/Xiaofan struggled with some important decisions once she had fallen in love with Xie Xun. Her internal struggles were well portrayed, especially in her subtle emotions and gestures. There were overacting scenes as is expected of a mini drama, but the acting quality was actually quite good.

I will definitely be rewatching this again sometime soon. I loved Xie Xun, Meng Yufan, Murong Shang, Xiaotang, and even Feng Da Ge. I would also probably be looking out for any dramas theyre starring in.

Since the SFL (Xiaotang) isn't in the cast here, I'd really appreciate it if someone could let me know her name so i can look for her other dramas.

Fan Zhixin delivers emotional performance in otherwise cringy, forgettable mini drama

These short-length productions are like snacks -- the better ones can be deliciously fun and entertaining, but it is rare to feel emotionally satisfied, let alone invested. Yet, Fan Zhixin's acting was unexpectedly moving (even if some might argue it was perhaps a tad too much). Watching him play such an earnest and emotional character was almost startling after seeing him as the suave, cold and ruthless Yan Xing Cheng in My Lethal Man and the disturbing, unsettling, and psychologically abusive Qin Li in Dear Liar. Fan Zhixin conveys a sense of maturity beyond his years and it's easy to forget that he was just 21 to 23 at most in all of these roles.

I'm not a huge fan of cross-world travelling mini dramas, mostly because they feel so unsatisfying at the end, but this one ranks among the better ones I've seen in this genre. I was rather indifferent to the FL, however, and the first third to half of the drama was so painful that I would have dropped it if it weren't for Fan Zhixin, who gave a stronger and more heartfelt performance than many other young actors leading a full-length series.

Childe Xie's Wine is also among the few mini-dramas I've watched that uses live audio! While the uneven sound quality showed a little once in a while, it was refreshing overall to hear everyone's natural voice. On occasion, an actor's performance is improved by the dubbing, but in this case, Fan Zhixin's acting benefited from the live audio, with viewers able to hear the way his voice breaks and catches during his emotional deliveries in the later episodes.

This would have probably been around a 5.5 to 6 for me, but I bumped it up to 7 for Fan Zhixin and hope he has more opportunities to nurture and showcase his acting skills.
