Similarities:
-Both have about leads trying to outwit each other to see who's a friend or foe.
-Both FL's put on fake airs/illness to look pitiful but are in fact quite intelligent.
-Both series have good side characters.
-Lots of slapstick humor.

In the affluent city of Yangzhou, in Tang Dynasty China’s Jiangsu Province, powerful parents from the Du and Li clans are planning marriages for their daughters, with the weddings coincidentally slated to take place on the very same day. Du Bing Yan’s intended husband is the sickly Qi Tian Lei, the third son of the Qi family. The Qi hope that marrying Qi Tian Lei off to a beautiful woman will reverse the man’s bad luck, and restore his health. But rumor has it that Qi Tian Lei is actually on the verge of death. Du Bing Yan is dismayed by the fact that she must marry such a sick individual, but bows to her parents’ wishes.

The humour is the same. They both have serious plots and geeat performances but out of nowhere you are laughing with tears in your eyes.

Strong female leads who have to hide their real strength/selves. Cat and mouse cleverness games between leads. Royalty ML who falls first and falls harder. Lots of comedy.

Strong both lead in showing off their straight feeling to each other. They start with little feeling but eventually grow stronger bond. Both are likely protective and not easy bully from evil.

Same scenario.
She's an ordinary girl who believes that woman have a right to an education too. He is a prince who needs to live up to his reputation of being lazy and unskilled.

both FL are a general's daughter who is smart and charming.
both FL fall in love with the son/adopted son(in LLTG) of the emperor.
in both the ML seeking the truth about their dead family.
in both the emperor is really smart and have full trust in the ML and later in the FL and also want them to be together.

Similar vibe and setting. But with wife swap but FL impressed everyone with their own capabilities and skills. This also has a secondary romance

Both dramas have leads the initially test each other's patience but then later go all out for each other. There is no use of the silly misunderstandings as a plot device. In both the ML are played by terrific actors. The FL in Royal Rumours is not as famous as Shen Li's FL but she is a hidden gem.

In both series the main couple are intelligent, strong and good looking. They always try to win against each other and deep down they care a lot for their other half's well being.

Both men hide secrets and are quite cunning.

- Both have same actor as male lead.
- Both ML is cold and arrogant in appearance and handles every matter with smart moves.
- Both ML has powerful position.
- Both FL is smart, beautiful and energetic.
- Both ML and FL was against each other and gradually fall in love.
- Both ML and FL solve political issues together.

Both dramas are hilarious when the main leads are pretending to be someone they are not.
In Royal Rumors, she is pretending to be a sickly woman even though the male lead knows her secret. In The Eternal Love 2, the male lead is pretending to be the real 8th prince while the female lead knows his identity, but sometimes can't tell which 8th prince she's seeing.

- It's about a princess that also puts on an innocent persona in public, while hiding who she truly is.
- Her love interest is a rich lord instead of a prince though.
- Their relationship is an enemies to lovers, just like in this drama.
- Strong female leads and characters are very adamant in this drama.
- I love it because, in both stories, the women are sassy and courageous.
