I watched the first episode...
UPDATE AFTER I FINISHED WATCHING THE DRAMAWell, despite what I expected, it's not a drama worth 10/10 for me. I was not bored while watching the next episodes. They were addictive enough for me to finish watching this drama. I want to point out that the actors did a really good job but there is something average about this drama. Some things didn't make sense.
About Oh Do hwan... he said he was ultimately on Jin Jung's side because it was the matter of being human. But does it really make sense? The fact is, Oh Do Hwan always took the side of the person who was more likely to win. He was well aware of at least some of the crimes of the Seo family. He knew how Director Seo treated his people when he didn't need them anymore, but he still took his side and then suddenly changed his mind. He didn't do it when there were signs that Seo Hyun Kyu might lose. He was literally punished for his actions only because of the actions of Oh Do Hwan. I think the creators forcibly wanted his character to develop and become the good one at the end. In my opinion, his actions towards the end of the drama were not entirely consistent with his earlier character.
This drama was also so predictable and so obvious. Jin Jung, in the eyes of the writers, had to win every battle and the whole war against the evil character of this drama. Because of this, even the fact that Park Jae Kyung is alive was obvious to me from the beginning.
So although the episodes did not bore me, I am a bit disappointed with this drama. It had great potential and could have been written much better.

AFTER WATCHING 1 EPISODE
rating: 9/10
I just finished the first episode and 3/4 of it was boring. The ending, however, promises some really good next episodes.
From the beginning, I expected a lot from this drama. I love Kyungsoo as a singer and actor and I'm sure his acting won't disappoint me. I haven't seen any titles where the main actors from Bad Prosecutor play the lead roles, so I'm curious how they will do.
I like the dramas of this type in general, so I hope it maintains its good level which is to be expected because of the end of the first episode.
For now, my rating is 9 because most of the first episode was boring, but the ending interested me. I think the next episodes will be more interesting and ultimately this drama will be a 10 for me. Let's see how it's going to be.

Not Good Enough
Korean Drama " Bad Prosecutor " threw reality out the window in exchange for comedy, but failed to deliver any laughter.First of all, if you are a fan of Doh Kyung Soo you won't be disappointed. He does a great job with his performance and he is energetic and fun to watch. The rest of the cast, especially the leading lady, also did a great job with their characters and their performances were flawless. The chemistry was overflowing between them as well.
On the other hand, the rest of the drama was a huge disappointment. The story is basic corruption in the mists of those in power, with very few surprises. However, the ways the main character tried to bring them to justice were unrealistic and over the top, not to mention criminal, even though he is never punished for his actions. Thus, the twists got unbelievable as well.
Next up is the soundtrack. Not that the songs weren't good, but they were added in scenes that didn't fit their vibe.
Finally, the comedy aspect was weak, as the scenes were made overexaggerating which resulted into them being idiotic not funny.
So, overall, 3 out of 10.

There are some things that are "BAD" but it's not this prosecutor
Let me start off with the good things I liked about this drama. It's funny. There are many action/fight scenes that I enjoyed. There's a cool group of friends that our male lead character Jin Sung can rely on 100% of the time. The acting was great. I sense the anger, annoyance, happiness, funniness, and frustration each character showed and to end off, the osts sounded great. Maybe not one I would listen to in my spare time but definitely cool to hear during the episodes. Some things I wished would've been better
* The writing for Prosecutor Oh: I like actor Ha Joon but this character did not give this actor justice. There was no sense of direction on whether he was good or bad. He's supposed to be a main character but felt more like a side character. If the end goal was for him to be a good guy from being a lapdog to the powerful, then at least show some character progression. Show that he realizes he's been doing his job wrong. A quick 180 change doesn't make sense to me if we don't see a buildup change.
* Not much connection with the lead characters: There could've been a connection as to why Jin Jung became a prosecutor relating to his father's incident but that didn't happen, hence hard to connect and understand the actions of Jin Jung other than being crazy. No backstory at all for our FL so in a way I didn't really care much for her but she does have her moments in the 2nd half
* Plot's nothing new, doesn't stand out: Pretty much corrupted bad guys being puppets by the true villain, taken down 1 by 1 until reaching the final boss.
To summarize:
It's not a drama where it will draw you in the first half unless you're a fan of D.O. I mean his acting is great as usual. It gets a little better in the second half once the puppets and the true master mind gets revealed and the good guys have the upper hand. Besides the great actors/actresses and nice osts, there's nothing that really makes this drama stands out to me. It was just missing a lot of backstories for me for our leads & even Jin Jung's group of friends. An okay ending. Ends how it begins with Jin Jung being a crazy prosecutor.

Must suspend disbelief
What I liked: DO. I don't need to say more than that, but I will. He is excellent. Intense, focused, with just a little "crazy". His hair is wild, his eyes are wild, you never know what he's going to do next. I've always appreciated his acting, and his acting in this role didn't disappoint. Lee Se Hee as Shin Ah Ra - her character was a joy. She was a hard-working, somewhat hard prosecutor, always in control, until she got involved with DO's character Jin Jung, then she was out of her element. Her facial expressions were priceless and her frustration with Jin Jung was so fun to watch. I really liked that they didn't try to make a romance here. What I didn't like: The storyline was extremely convoluted and the fact that everyone was corrupt was just too much. I felt like they were just trying to fill time. Bad guy A gets caught, then here comes bad guy B, he gets taken care of and here comes bad guy C. Then there were the situations in which they found themselves. I just found the storyline too implausible.
I'm glad I watched this for DO and Lee Se Hee.

Fast Paced and Funny
Bad Prosecutor has been super fast paced so far without a boring part. It is very funny with great action scenes. Looking forward to how else the story will develop! I hope they give us a little more background on the rest of the team and how Jin Jeong met them. The cinematography has been really good so far and I am anticipating what happens next! Doh Kyungsoo's acting has been very good so far and is good at acting out a crazy/unpredictable character. Looking forward to see more of Lee Sehee's acting.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
If you want a good detective drama, skip this one
First of all, I picked up this title because 100 Days My Prince was real good. Also, I like Do Kyungsoo as an actor (and an idol). So while my motives may be biased, me judging this drama after watching 12/12 episodes is not.I keep seeing ratings that are 10/10... seriously? If this site is going to be filled with biased reviews such as those, I may as well not look at user reviews here. Anyway, if you sincerely liked the drama, that is fine. I am not judging your tastes (maybe). But really, while the acting may be fine, the script feels forced. The "bad" trope feels forced. The cliches feel forced. Whatever is not important is emphasized. The good, "just right" story flow is not present (the pacing is really, really, really bad). The plot twists could really just, IDK, make your brain cells twist in despair. What more can I say when the villain can just kill off other people but not the main character? Really? Just so we can have a plot? This drama could've ended in 6 or so episodes if the villain really just used his brain a little bit more and killed off the main character.
For a detective drama, nothing makes sense in this one. If you want to use your brain while watching this, well, no, you can't. You might as well just close your eyes and cover your ears while your brain shuts down during the time you watch this. The writer(s) must have thought viewers just turn off their brain capacity by 180% when they watch tv shows. Well, that's what it felt like. I felt like I am being treated like an idiot for having to put up with the ridiculous plot twists and whatever they come up with. I put up with 12 episodes of this because I want to write a review with credibility. One that can express fully how insufferable the plot is.
Anyway, no hate for the actors. Snowball is super cute. Watch it if you like DO.
Edit: those who have 8 or higher ratings must be dandanies...well, not that I am still one, but I have his Empathy album because it is good. My point only: not all fans can be biased in reviews (although there's pretty much so many of them who gave this drama a high rating).

Justice Not Served!
The bad prosecutor didn't live up to his name, at least not for the entirety of the drama. The first 4 episodes were decent but the rest were an imitation of its previous spark. Everything up to the final confrontation of the first guy was enjoyable but everything turned into a generic prosecutor/team drama afterwards. No more of the bad prosecutor attitude and his appeal almost diminished, there was a small recovery around the end but it was already too late. Speaking of teams, the sidekicks were pretty bad at being a sidekick especially Baek Eun Ji, just horrible! The team in general lacked a good dynamic, the ML was pulling all the weight by himself. It could've been something decent if more care was put into it.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
Totally OTT but an engrossing, exhilirating watch.
Full of great action, with many genuinely funny scenes and a tongue planted firmly in cheek. Such a good cast with Do Kyung-soo heading it perfectly. I love his acting and how he always seems to really immerse himself into character. His role in this reminds me a bit of 'K' in Bad and Crazy. Some typecasting in the form of Kim Chang-wan as CE, Seo Hyun-kyu, as well, as I'm sure I've seen him in a very similar role, but I just can't think of the drama.
Whilst it's total fiction, there were a few occasions when I felt the writing became lazy and how characters behaved in some scenes was eye rolling; like walking into situations alone and seemingly unprepared, or going to a secret rendezvous with no concept of being tailed (which she was).
I liked the character of Ah-ra, but got irritated when she was made out to be defenseless, when in fact she was an excellent fighter. So, when she sat back and did absolutely nothing in a rooftop fight scene, even when the baddies had legged it and the others were desperately struggling to pull someone back from falling off said roof, I got very irritated. No one would do that.
Ep7 had the most flaws for me and I noticed more weak writing (or direction?) after that.
However, overall I still really enjoyed the action and entire cast.
Totally OTT at times, but a great ride! Worth watching for sure.

Nice Acting
The acting from all the actors was definitely the highlight of this drama. I had never seen D.O act and was very pleasantly surprised, would have never guessed he was an idol if I didn't know. The soundtrack was quite nice as well but the story wasn't a 10 for me. While it was in no ways boring and mostly kept you thinking and wanting to know what happened next, sometimes there were little parts of the story that were quite predictable.Even so I wish I could watch it for the first time once again and recommend it to everyone.

Not a bad prosecutor show.
Spoilers.Using my personal rating system of "loved," "liked," "meh," & "nah," this was a cheerful “meh”.
I neither disliked nor liked this one. It was fast-paced enough to keep me interested. Not sure why they thought that hair was a good look for Doh Kyung Soo, but I guess it fit with the ‘crazy’ theme? I usually like a little romance but wasn’t mad that there was none in this show. There were decent moments of comedy. I like that the FL was smart and brave, but I thought she unconditionally supported JJ a little too much. There were some things I did not expect—in a good way. I thought it was a little unrealistic how Jin Jung always seemed to have it together and was a step ahead of the bad guy (it was also equally unrealistic that he could beat up people and not get fired--and thrown in jail...). I liked that Oh Do Hwan decided to be a decent person in the end (though I was always a bit unsure of his original motivations—like why was he always attaching himself to powerful people? What was the objective?). Bad guys defeated, good guys win.
Conclusions: Not a bad watch. If you’re in a drama dry spell, I would rec’d checking it out.
