While Fahlanruk was somewhat of a meh ? both it and Bed Friend follow the same premises... 'Friends with Benefits'!
Although Fahlanruk wasn't my all time favorite, I do think that if you liked it you'll like Bed Friend because they both follow the "friends with benefits" trope. I think the main thing that makes these two similar is that one person catches feelings for the other one and then things spiral out of control.
But yeah so if you liked Fahlanruk then I definitely think you give Bed Friend a try!

The similarities is the work place, the relationship at work, funny friends but also dark past. I can't really compare it that much since Bed Friend is R-rated but a lot of things were actually similar there. The top best friend Jack/Jade. Terrible step dad and ignoring mother. Trauma. Homophobic people. Well, what is common between Uea and Cher is that they have undying love for their siblings. Cher and Thoop are not related by blood but treat each other like siblings too. Uea was able to go back to his hell for his loving sister that was the only green from his family. Cher was taking care of Thoop as well and even appeared in dangerous situations for him. In Bed friend it's Uea who's sexually assaulted, in ABAB it's Tian, Cher's past crush but her and Uea went through similar hell. Both were sexually assaulted by their step fathers. I'm not sure if Uea was also raped but I wouldn't be surprised. The difference is Uea didn't kill himself even after living in this hell for several year but still fought with PTSD. Tian ended up pregnant and couldn't live with herself anymore.
King and Gun actually shares more things. Both when they find the right one, they love him undyingly. Both were financially supporting their boyfriends and protected them in front of danger. How King beat Uea's ex and Gun hit Thoop's step dad. Both are visually outstanding and their boyfriends have them wrapped around their finger. They both come from problematic families who didn't accept their relationship at first but allowed it in the end. Both are pretty rich but fall in love with the poor guy with golden heart. And Cher and Uea are both sassy to their boyfriends and casually insult them ?. Also both Cher and Uea decided to leave their boyfriends at the end. Cher because he felt he's not competended to date Gun and because of his mother. Uea because he couldn't work at the place where boss molests him and needed time alone from King. The difference is King was the one who just couldn't leave Uea alone and didn't stop looking after him until he found him. Gun respected Cher's wish and distanced himself but Cher couldn't live without him and waited till he graduates. Both stories have amazing happy endings and both kept me entertained to the end but for rewatching I'd choose Bed Friend because I just enjoyed this story more. It was even more matured and my type of genre. But I loved the comedy in ABAB more.

In both the series, the main couples start as friends with benefits but end up falling in love with each other.
Prapai and Sky's characters from Love in the Air are *INCREDIBLY* similar to King and Uea's characters in Bed Friend. Both relationship start off as a one night stand and it turns into them catching feelings. Prapai and King are both characters who start off as "players" who don't settle down and Sky and Uea's characters are both also similar personality wise and both have a backstory involving trauma and a shitty ex boyfriend, it's basically the same plot so if you like one of these series you'll most likely like the other!
They're both thai BL and have the "friends with benefits" trope
idk much about wandee's story bc it's still airing, but i think if you like this trope you'll like both series :)

about male coworkers falling in love with one another.
Overall: there was potential to tell a story well that we never see; however, the title, trailer and plot synopsis all misled viewers into what this series would be about. Bed Friend is not a steamy series about friends with benefits and more about coping with trauma. I am basing this review by the series itself and not based on the novel as I believe series should stand on their own. 10 episodes about 40 minutes.
Aired on youtube. On Mandee Channel. You can watch it for free,
It is a very beautiful story about love

I can see you lot, shaking your heads in disbelief: What? A BL and a K drama?!?
Oh yes!!! Both have mothers from Hell and are about sexual harassment at work. The main couples have incredible chemistry and so many steamy hot scenes(as much as it is possible on Korean main channel tv!). And they are so madly in love....

Both of these BL dramas follow a lead with trauma, who is gun-shy/reluctant to enter into a new relationship. As part of the trauma, the lead presents a fear of the dark and a lot of insecurity. Both dramas also have a nice push-and-pull flirtatious dynamic between the two romantic leads, as well as the beginnings of a romance plot between their coworkers.
