I feel like I was thrown into the water and couldn't swim. I am giving this show a chance because I have been really excited for it. But so far, I am disappointed. I was really disappointed. There's not enough plot buildup—a full 41 minutes—and I don't know any of the characters. Okay, I will watch this later. Okay bye!
I'm addicted, but I need to it was rape even as I continue watching.
If you're too drunk to walk on your own you're too drunk to give consent. We all know that when sober, and under any other circumstances, King would be the last person Uea would want to sleep with. So, WRITERS: King, could have been even sexier, and despite his overwhelming attraction to Uea, he could have wrenched his face away with a pained look, maybe burying his face in Uea’s shoulders to block his view of Uea’s open face and tantalizing lips until he regained his control, and then gone to sleep on the couch… with a very demanding hard-on, or after a VERY cold shower. King is so good at giving Uae longing looks, it would have been a riveting scene. OR Uea could have been sober! Wow, what a thought! Their relationship could have started out with something that wasn't rape. I mean, he was already cracking under his cheating boyfriend and his abusive mother, so after he gets that text from his mom in the bathroom, he just cracks, and instead of drowning himself in alcohol… he drowns himself in King. He wanted to do what hurt most in an already painful life. Sleeping with King was self-flagellation. Uea saying "i was being too reckless" - reckless is getting sh*t-faced and begging the person you hate most rn to “stay with me.” That’s it! That’s all on him. The rest is on King.
Chemistry between the male leads is captivating, the visuals so amazing...didn't expect them to end up in bed because King declined but it makes the drama build up well?
Watched the first episode and im not sure how I feel about this?? male lead took advantage of him when he wasn't conscious LITERALLY DRUNK. Now the actual male lead is blaming it on himself?? King you piece of crap how dare you don't deserve him. Feel sad all you want there's nothing you can do in my eyes to redeem doing that.Other than that very interesting main character in having complex trauma and ptsd. I think this will be interesting. I hate king for that am only watching this for the main character. I love this main character he is so complex.
Fue un buen primer episodio, pero realmente la senti muy rápido, como que nos ponian todo sobre la mesa dos daban contexto demasiado rápido, aunque la química de los actores la ame. Sera una buena serie lo presiento.
It is true that the chapter was a bit fast but I loved the performance of the actors it was wonderful I could feel King's love for Uea and all the weight that the past has on UEA I hope that the following chapters are better and the plot develops much more, I am very eager to see what is coming
The pacing in this episode was a bit messy at times, not just within specific scenes (though, that was also an issue) but with the overall timeline. There was one moment, for instance, where Uea thought back to when he and King first met, then another scene came up that was in a different place to the 'present' and I was confused about when it was supposed to be set. There was a lot of exposition, including other flashback scenes that added to the pacing problem. I'm not opposed to finding out a character's trauma in the first episode but considering this is the first time we're meeting Uea, I felt it was a little difficult to like... care? I felt bad for him but right now it feels like his character is just his Trauma and what glimpses we get of him around the other cast members. As for King, I'd been hesitantly liking him (honestly I felt like Uea was being a little harsh at first) up until That Scene. The first half of the episode, he was a little annoying but in a way that felt more endearing than not. The second half, I wanted him to leave Uea alone already!! The acting from the mains is leaving a bit to be desired for me, though the child actor and the side characters did better. However, I've felt that way about other dramas I've seen and the acting did get better over time, so I'm hoping that's the case here as well. I'll definitely be watching the second episode because despite my issues with it, I am really interested in seeing how things progress, especially having seen the end preview for ep 2.
Is okay, i was expecting so much more for a first episode's but the editing ou the acting ia not good, the plot is kinda weak too,.but the chemistry between the mean leads is fire. If you want a BL focuses only on the sex aspect of the relationship this is the one for you
just throwing a tragic back story, enemies to lovers where one enemy is clearly an unrequited love-- throwing it all at us. plus Net and James are just beautiful.
If you rely on subtitles, be prepared to pause often in the beginning. The first couple minutes is a narration that is spoken quickly. The whole episode is a wild ride. First you meet everyone. Then you follow them all somewhere. Then you watch them be silly. Then you get to the main couple. Then it's over. It's approximately 40 minutes of a fast paced episode. The sound effects and background music are well blended into most scenes. The styling is perfect. The sets are familiar. The characters are likeable. The main character backstory has just the right amount of trauma to support the current story. It's a good first episode for the most part.
