firstly I didnt get why this gets such popularity... first few eps was lacklustre. BUT WAS WRONG
Whole drama is about special grim reaper team working on different cases each episode.First few episodes didnt catch mine interest and only good thing on these eps was short funny situations shown at end of eps.
Now to later parts of drama this drama is one of few which managed to make me CRY - particularly it was in story about :japans: -Comfort women.
Guess this drama started low and skyrocketed to peak drama 9/10
plot - ML is unemployed once at bridge he sees suicide and wants save him... sadly he ends up in river too whole thing ending with him in coma. He gets offer from grim reapers to join them at work if he works he will wake up sooner.
genre - separate stories, human misery, human relationships

Surprising angle on a drama based on suicide prevention
I will be honest; I was not grabbed by the first couple of episodes, but as the drama progressed, I enjoyed it more and more. The subject matter is not an easy topic to work into a drama in which it's also the main focus. One would expect it to become overly sentimental, depressing, or down right unwatchable for 16 episodes.
However, it was nothing like that. Yes, there were very sad moments, but also giggles, warmth, hope and a message.
It did occasionally get a little too sentimental for me personally, but overall I found the subject dealt with in a way that made me ponder and not feel smothered in grief or misery.
Many messages can be taken from this series. A biggie for me, is that people often cover up their depression or misery.
It made me think that people struggle, to varying degrees, some every day of their lives. It can take one day of an accumulation of those struggles, during which, just one more bad word, experience of bullying, disrespect or unkindness, could potentially push them to the point of no return.
Suicide was not romanticized nor sugar coated; those judging it as wicked or cowardly, were confronted on those views. It did attempt to show that life is precious, actions have consequences and reaching out to people, or asking for help, can make a difference.
Some of the stories were better than others and several really touched me.
I liked the inclusion of the Crisis Management Team's stories; how the mystery between Park Sang-hoon and Koo Ryeon was introduced and then ran in the background, culminating in the final episodes.
The acting was pretty good overall and, as always, Lee Soo-hyuk's mannerisms, 'eye acting' and overall presence, were it for me.
Rowoon acted his character well; the young, naive and idealistic temp new addition to the team (I did get irritated with how he never took notice of instructions though).
Yun Ji-on was great, giving the right balance of a bit odd with kind of vulnerable/alone and I found his character the most fascinating and intriguing.
Kim Hee-seon was mostly good too, but at times I found her a bit stiff, like her whole body, as though she wasn't relaxed in the role.
I LOVE actress Kim Hae-sook and her character, the Jade Emperor; I'd not seen her in a role like that before.
I thought the latter eps were the best and would encourage anyone struggling with it early on, to persevere ~ I'm glad I did.

More!
I came here for Lee Soo Hyuk and ended with so much more! I waited for the series to end before I watched cause I knew I'd get hooked, and I didn't lie to myself. This series was awesome. The whole cast brought life to this death parade and I'd highly recommend to any and all. I always appreciate a strong female lead and here was no exception. Ms. Koo lights fire to every scene and I was obsessed with her character cause I see a lot of myself in her. There's a good balance of comedy mixed in with all the tears you'll probably shed. I think the series ended well, but I wouldn't turn away a S2!Suicide is a serious matter all over the world and I love that someone was creative enough to shine a special kind of light on the subject to make each episode a learning and heart felt experience.
Enjoy...

A well written series shining light on mental health
Tomorrow was a daring series that wasn't afraid to bring up tough topics that other dramas seem to stray away from. The whole series tackles the suicide crisis and dives into the mental health issues that cause people to contemplate suicide. With such a tricky concept and topic to navigate without misconstruing the difficulties that come with suicide and mental health, the series overall does a good job. Each episode comes with a nice message that goes along the lines that life is worth living through all the dark times. The pacing of the show is simply a plot line for each episode. Each episode focuses on different victims that are about to attempt suicide and the grim reapers essentially have to get to the root cause and prevent the ultimate suicide. Each victim covers a different area of mental health issues (e.g., eating disorders, cyberbullying, etc). However, some episodes feel rushed and fail to cover the essence of the issue. For instance, for the episode pertaining to the person with the eating disorder, a majority of the episode was leading the viewer to think that the victim was one worker when it was actually a thinner worker. This illustrated that eating disorders would affect those you wouldn't think would have one, even if they are constantly praised and idolized for their slim body. I get that. But when you spent such a large portion of airtime on simply driving that plot device, the resolution of the episode was literally the grim reapers having a talk with her saying to love her body. Then she suddenly loves her body again. The whole thing feels rushed and feels like it doesn't serve those suffering with eating disorders justice. This is just one of the problems I had with the pacing.
Another issue I had was the 2-dimensional characters. The main 3/4 grim reapers are all given around one episode worth of backstory. Some of these backstories are full of depth and keeps me wanting to learn more from (Goo Ryun & Park Joong Gil) but unfortunately due to their ambitions of stuffing literal centuries worth of lore within an episode or two felt rushed and unsettled. Im Ryung Goo's backstory was fine but I feel like when it was shown, during the episode showed an immense change of character, but after his obligatory backstory episode everything went back to normal (except he stopped picking his nose ig). Lastly, Choi Joon Woong was a fun and bright character that brought a new and sensible approach to tackle these mental health issues. But again he lacks depth, and I was hoping that the finale would have showed the last victim as his mom or sister. Not because I want to see him suffer, rather I was hoping all that character development throughout the series would shine through when push comes to shove. I would've wanted to see how he would react to difficulties that hit close to home. That in my opinion would have been heart wrenching, seeing such a lighthearted character suffer like that. Overall, I can see that there was a lot of direction put into balancing regular episode arcs as well as main character arcs, but it felt like not enough was placed in the latter.
Overall, the series took a lot of confidence to tackle such a sensitive topic in such a time where mental health affects so many of us, so to that I applaud. In terms of plot, characters, and overall cohesiveness, do I think there are problems with it? Yea for sure. Do I wish some things were done differently? 100%. But it doesn't take away from the tremendous leap of faith and confidence to attempt to shine light on pressing issues impacting the whole world and destigmatize mental health.

Beautiful message
It makes me think of Death’s game but this is way better. Sorry I shouldn’t compare dramas as I am strongly against it but it made me think of it… The concept a bit.I will say I was bothered so much about the drama trying to be funny and some scenes that were odd. But in the end I understood why they are necessary.
Topics involved are deep and so closed to reality. It is disturbing how well they picture reality. And it is crescendo. The more you go the harder and deeper topics get. You need to “light up the mood” even if it doesn’t work out.
And that is also a beautiful message to our lives and problems. You need light over the darkness. You need people trying to make you laugh when you don’t want to or think you cannot anymore. You need ridiculous stuffs to the seriousness of the situation called life.
Finally can someone give LSH some lead role ? This guy has so much to show us and so much under his sleeves.

Emotional rollercoaster with a required pinch of happiness with amazing actors.
The moral of the story really got reflected in every episode " There is no biggest crime than taking your own life, just never give up".I always seek for cute romantic series but I dont know why this drama without a peck of romance made me feel 100% satisfied. I waiting for every ep to get released eagerly without fail. I guess I cried on every ep without even realising for good, I used to tell my roomies not to worry if i start crying all of a sudden on friday & saturday nights (I am happily crying).
I really loved the serial and hope to have a season 2 ,its totally worth! They have left more scope for S2. Other than that i am happy with how the drama ended but I positively hope Rawoon just die faster and go back to RM team as soon as possible and save more lives as a team and give us more ep to watch.
*Fingers crossed*

Have a fresh way of dealing with such a heavy topic!
TW: Mentioned su1c1d3.The show is about a team of two grim reapers who tryna save suicidal people. Junwoong is a living human but he accidentially meddled in their business and got in a coma. When he was in a coma, he decided to become the third member of this team.
Honestly I didn't expect to love this show this much! It has been out for a while but I didn't hear anyone raved about it so I was just whatever although I saw netflix recommended it to me. I got bored one day and decided to just watch one ep, you know, see how it goes.
I got hooked from the first two eps, and then binge-watched it in two days. I couldn't stop it was so good and so refreshing! I saw reviews on here saying that they didn't like that Junwoong didn't have a back story despite being the MC. Personally I found it so refreshing! I'm tired of MCs with complex, miserable backgrounds. I mean, cuz almost everyone is like that already. It's so good to finally have a MC who's just straight up a BIG golden retriever in and out I was crushing on him sooo hard. He's so thoughtful and kind and positive and like dumb but kinda wholesome. I lovee the whole main cast.
The topic they chose was so heavy but they executed it pretty well. I am a suicide survivor myself and although i don't think they fully captured the complexity of the inner world of suicidal people, nor did they actually suggest a good way to support suicidal people, but they didn't disrespect. Like, they didn't talk about it lightly, like it's no big deal, but at the same time, they didn't make the show too dark that it couldn't reach the heart of people. It feels like how good outsiders think ab suicidal people, which I think is good bc i dont think ppl would understand if the story was written from the suicidal people's pov. There are many encouraging quotes, personally I like it when Mr.Park said humans are supposed to still move on even when they're in pain and misery kinda. I feel like many people can relate to the stories (although not me but it's really difficult to influence me so it doesn't count) and feel a bit more at ease by them. Oh and it's kinda comforting to feel that I'll prolly be alright even after I leave this world one day. I love how the loveline was kinda unexpected as well (although I could tell very early on but still, I love how it was very subtle). It's a very healing show overall. Really fun, everyone is so nice and wholesome, especially the big boss lady she's so kind and wise i love her so much. Idk what more to say it's the best kdrama i have watched lately. If you don't like kdramas that focus on romance, and you just want something fun and easy to watch, nothing too intense, you gonna love this. Kinda has the vibe of Attorney Woo (maybe even better), minus the loveline.
The latter half of the show is a bit rushed, but it's still okay. I love how none of them could really stay out of others' business or be professional they just had to get involved lmao. All of them just care so much it's wholesome.
I'll end my review with a quick comparison cuz the MCs feel like different types of animals:
Mr. Park: A black panther
Ms. Koo: A (strict) bunny
Assistant Lim: A grumpy cat
The big boss lady: A bear
Junwoong: As said above, a BIG puppy
They're all so amazing. Junwoong is prolly my fav character but tbh i like everyone.
Just watch it it's really entertaining but so underrated! I may watch it again prolly years later.

Casting made the whole show.
Kim Hee Sun is a genius, Rowoon is the only male actor today that could portray this character and Su Hyuk has the best arresting face. Casting was absolutely the thing that this show the success it is, along with some pretty damn good storytelling. And I dare to say that this is and will still be one of the best portrayed sexual tension in tv history. Also, the ending Hee Sun and Su Hyuk characters' had was like getting hit by a Mack truck. Did not see that coming. Ever. This one deserved, at least, another 10 episodes.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

A drama that shows you reality
My main reason for watching tomorrow was lee soo hyuk. But in the end its everything about this drama that made me stay. The first episode was marely setting the premises.Tomorrow is based on the webtoon with same name but other than the drama name, character names and sub plots the drama was very different from the webtoon.
Every sub story made me cry rivers. The pain and the reasons why people choose to end their lives weren't grand but they were realistic.
I love lee soo hyuk but Yoon Jion was a surprise for me in this drama. Lim Ryun gu and his mother's arc made me cry a lot. I hope you get lot of work after tomorrow.
Kim Hee sun is obviously a star and no one would have played this role better than her. Rowoon is the best idol turned actor i would say. Choi Jun woong was a kind hearted person and deserved good things only.
There is nothing I disliked except I think Park Joong Gil deserved a better ending but since tomorrow was not romance I will still accept what we got.
The lessons that this drama taught I hope people can implement them in their lives.
We need more dramas like this.

A DRAMA I WOULD RE-WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN
Tomorrow was my comfort drama during the weekends. It served as my reward for a job well done during the workdays. Some might find the theme disturbing but it tackles the topics the society has to recognize in order for us to live in a less cruel world. The cast were well picked and they gave their characters the justice it deserves. I must say Kim Hee Sun slayed her character as Koo Ryeon, a modern girl boss with a tragic Joseon past. Her over-all aura in the series made me want to grow up exactly like her sans the tragic past but not excluding Park Joong Gil my latest dream guy. I was just sad that her story with Joong Gil was revealed in the latter part. It would have brought us much more pain knowing earlier that Joong Gil was Ryeon's husband. I was suspicious of Joong Gil's character on the first part of the series. However I fell in love with him on his Joseon Era. His love for Ryeon was so true and pure that it surpassed several lifetimes. The transition of his cold gaze and stare turned into looks of love and longing for his wife melted my heart. I mean. He's one of a KIND! Who doesn't want a man like that? A man who is ready to protect and sacrifice.
I had a gut feeling that there will be a Season 2 because it is open ended and hints were dropped in the last two episodes. Before the end of the episode, my suspicion would be a prequel where it will feature the back stories of the reapers in the Joseon era especially Joong Gil after the death of Ryeon. But when Ryeon mentioned "After 50 years" the plot for the possible Season 2 was sealed. Nevertheless, it was an excellent drama the ending was happy yet open ended but it doesn't make it a less appealing one. So netflix & mbc, the netizens are clamoring for a second season! Why not give us the S2 we deserve?

Incredibly emotional - bring tissues!!
I don't think I've ever watched a TV series that made me feel so many different feelings. I cried during so many episodes. Sadness, happiness, empathy, sympathy and compassion. The main characters are deep with beautiful stories, and the people they work to save have incredible stories of their own, we can learn a lot by paying attention to what they teach in this show. I will remember these lessons and make an effort to live a better life thankful for what I have after seeing so many people who have had things worse or have felt a hopelessness that I have personally never had to face.
This is definitely a ahow I recommend to anyone who enjoys feeling the broad spectrum of virtually everything within the time span of an episode. I howpe others enjoy it as much as I have.
