Semantic Error Best BL in Korea
OMG, I don't really give shows a high of a rating; however, this show deserves the high ratings. The cinematography, production, chemistry, acting , and was plot was on point; it was so good. It killed my insides in a good way.I HAVE TO SAY THIS ONE OF KOREA'S BEST BL IN HISTORY.
Overall I really enjoyed reading the manhwa to be able to understand what's going on. I still have to read the novel as yet. I think between the novel, manhwa, and the series they did a really wonderful adaptation. I watched this on VIKI.
Jang Jae Young (Park Seo Ham) is my favorite character in the show; I admire his dedication to Sangwoo ( Park Jae Chan) and his refusal to leave his side. Jang Jae Young understood Sangwoo's demand for space and granted it to him a couple of times rather than becoming confrontational with him. He did not stalked and harassed, Sangwoo.
What I liked about the series:
- Jang Jae Young being respectful to Sangwoo when he needed his space.
- No evil character
- The music really fit into the series
- Good side characters
- the aesthetics/styling of all the characters.
- light hearted
- Sangwoo being funny, sassy, sarcastic
- good production
- it linking in with the manhwa
To be honest, this series took me on a roller coaster journey! I appreciate that they released two episodes per week, but I'm sad that it came to an end so quickly. Another thing is that, despite the fact that it ended so quickly, the plot did not feel rushed. The series was so well-made that, while it did leave me wanting more, the way it wrapped left me feeling complete and fulfilled. I cried throughout the final episode; viewing this was an emotional roller coaster for me.
One of the most compelling aspects of Semantic Error is the chemistry between the two actors representing the roles. Both Park Jae Chan and Park Seo Ham seemed to be enjoying themselves in their roles. Another thing I admire is that there was no awkwardness or tension; instead, they were simply being themselves, and they seamlessly integrated into the characters. They had a wonderful chemistry.
I was thoroughly entertained from the beginning to the last episode, therefore I have no complaints. The plot revolved around them being enemies to lovers at university. The school rebel, on the other hand, falls in love with the techie right away and refuses to give up. Despite this, the school rebel (Jang Jaeyoung) is courteous and respectful of the Sangwoo wishes. He doesn't try to persuade him to do anything. He gives Sangwoo time despite his desire for answers. With Jaeyougn, he's never aggressive.
Semantic Error was able to create characters that were not only immensely lovable, but also showed their growing affection for one another. We can see how they're falling for each other, and we can also see why they're falling for each other. This series is really well-paced. This is honestly my ideal comfort. It will make you smile and warm your heart.
In his post, Park Jae Chan (Sangwoo) stated that the majority of his cast mates became his true friends. He also stated that Park Seo Ham had become his best friend, which I found to be really sweet. You can tell that the two grew to like each other and built a strong bond over their time working together. Despite the fact that his firm did not want him to assume this role, Park Jae Chan stood up for himself and said, "I can do it." He was able to deliver something positive to the fans, the directors, and everyone else with his achievements. At the same time, he made a best friend.

Just lovely
I will make it short: The plot is not existent. I tried to read the manhwa at least five times because of it's popularity, and couldn't get into it. Creative out-going guy meets nerd that thinks and behaves like a computer. That's the whole story. They hate each other, then they fall in love. Never seen that before, right? So yeah ... not impressed. But why the high rating? The production was great, the soundtrack too, the non-existent plot worked surprisingly well, and THE LEADS WERE FANTASTIC! That's all you need to know about this series. Both did a good acting job, had incredible charisma, a very lovely chemistry, and were extremely good looking - not only individually, but also as a couple. Those two fit each other so well. Not to mention that they were capable of delivering a proper kiss. No akwardness, no shyness. Just cute. This is the type of series everyone can enjoy. Despite having two guys fall in love, it felt like a rather causal love story, and not your typical BL. It was not perfect and not really that out-standing, but it was sooooo lovely. I will give it 10 stars. I'm generous today.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

Perfect adaptation and one of the best Korean BLs in terms of quality
First of all I have read the manhwa and I can say that they stuck to the manhwa as much as possible and tweaked some parts for the better! In the beginning, the story looked like it wouldn't get to the part where they would even confess at all or get together but by ep 7 and 8, it turned out that I was wrong. I wish we could have had more eps to explore their relationship though. The story isn't all that new but for me as a person who studied film in college, I tend to watch critically while enjoying it and I think the editing, lights, music and even subtle symbolisms was perfect! There was never an awkward cut or continuity that I've observed, the ost perfectly fits the story which is "Romantic Devil" by Coldin ( best bl ost for me ever), everything was well lit and they made the scenes in the night still somehow bright like for example by adding those bisexual neon lighting in ep 7 which I'm sure was intentional since Jaeyoung is bisexual (there are more subtle symbolisms but I will leave that to you to find) . You can definitely see that this had a high budget. For acting I think Seoham and Jaechan really did great for newbie actors especially in the kissing scenes. They totally looked immersed into it and like they want to kiss eachother bc in almost all the Korean BLs I've seen, the actors kinda look awkward or restrained. They just give us pecks which is cute but I've seen enough of that in straight K-dramas like cmon give us more! Kiss like you're actually in love? In the case of Seoham and Jaechan, you can really see they adore each other off screen so it translates well on screen with Jaeyoung and Sangwoo. For idols like them, they really are trailblazers on that regard. I can talk more and more about this but this would be too long. The ending was really good and I would like to see a season 2 when Seoham gets discharged from the military and there are more chapters from the manhwa that they can give us longer eps or more eps. Anyways, overall this really climbed up the spot to my 2nd most fave BL just next to Light on Me which had longer eps and more character development. This one is definitely worth the watch.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
i couldn't recommend it enough
literally the cutest bl i've ever watched, super heart wrenching and a great story overall! the cast is perfect too, i loved all the characters. if you're thinking of watching this then i definitely would go ahead and watch it right now. it's a short korean drama but it's a very sweet one. i really wish they made the episodes longer because it has so so much potential!! the chemistry between the main leads is so loveable and they're an amazing duo. it's a shame seoham is enlisting, he did an amazing job as well as jaechan who pulled off such a cute character. i hope to see them in more projects soon!! :DQuesta recensione ti è stata utile?
My favorite korean bl
I smiled so much throughout this drama. It overall is just a beautiful story. I am astonished with how the pacing was for this drama. How much they fit in only 8 episodes with an average of 20 minutes. That is so hard to do without the audience feeing confused or like it was all over the place however that was not the case here at all. It just had me wanting more and more though lol.The director did such a great job conveying this drama. The actors portrayed their characters with such class. It really gives you butterflies when watching it. The cinematography is just so beautiful and the detail. The way they used colors to portray the feelings of the characters with Jaeyoung’s being red and Sangwoo’s being blue than purple when their feelings come together. Just such a great drama.

A must watch
Before I started watching the series, I didn't really know what to think. Every review I've seen by far was that it was supposedly "the best kbl so far" so I decided to give it a try, and I can most definitely tell you I wasn't disappointed at all, it stood up to the reviews and even surpassed my expectations. I'd definitely recommend it.I don't have much experience with reviewing so I'll just divide it into two categories, what I absolutely liked and what I found odd.
WHAT I LIKED:
- The production was really good, in comparison to most small series, it's most definitely outstanding. I like the way it doesn't feel that rushed at all, and it's noticable if you compare it to other kbl series. Bonus points go to episodes actually being 20+ minutes and not barely 8-10.
- The acting was, in my opinion, amazing. It made the series more enjoyabe.
- I like the set of boundaries between characters such as when to touch and kiss, as well as Jaeyoung actually giving Sangwoo time to think and not forcing him and saying he must be with him.
- Side characters not being completely ignored, love the way it isn't focused on the main characters 24/7 and that we can actually see the friendships more than just a few seconds of screentime - I loved every scene where Yuna would talk to Jaeyoung and Sangwoo + being pretty much straightforward. It's also quite new to me to see a sapphic character and I love it!
- Absolutely loved the way Jaeyoung adjusted to Sangwoo's way of thinking and finding a way to communicate with him, specifically all the 2 week trial scenes.
- I like the way plot wasn't ignored. The main idea of Sangwoo looking for a designer, making a game and fixing errors was present throughout all episodes.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE
- The stalker-like behaviour from Jaeyoung at the beginning of the series, just because he had to retake the semester? I get that he was mad at Sangwoo for not being able to go abroad (which was his own fault) but going out of your way to find out what Sangwoo likes, doesn't like and all the info about him is beyond weird. As well as constantly sticking around Sangwoo even though he stated that he wasn't too comfortable with him being around almost all the time.
- The kiss while Jaeyoung was sleeping. Even though we later find out that Jaeyoung wasn't completely asleep later, you don't go around kissing people who are, especially without clear mutual liking towards one another, it's creepy.
Overall, definitely an improvement in the bl industry, I wish to see more series as well done as this one.

ERROR!! ERROR WARNING!! FANGIRLING OVERLOAD WITH KOPALA 404 ERROR!!
FAV BL DRAMA TO DATE, THE CHEMISTRY IS TOP-NOTCH WITH UNUSUALLY GOOD PRODUCTION VALUE TO DATE FOR A BL DRAMA. I FEARED THE POSSIBILITY OF AWKWARD ACTING AS BOTH LEADS WERE PLAYED BY IDOL ACTORS BUT THE MOMENTS AND THE LOOK OF LOVE PASSED BY SO NATURALLY THAT I FEEL ATTACHED TO THEM. BOTH ACTORS DID JUSTICE TO THEIR CHARACTERS. PARK SEO HAM, MY NEW OBSESSION AND CRUSH, HOW CAN YOU BE SO CHARMING AND HANDSOME AHHH T-T GREAT STORY WITH BEST ACTING. BEST SK BL!!!
LET ME TELL YOU. WHOEVER ASKS FOR BL RECOMMENDATIONS, THIS WILL BE THE FIRST ONE I'LL GIVE THEM.NOTE TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO TRY THIS DRAMA BUT DOESN'T WANT TO READ ALL OF THIS:
This was the best Korean bl I've ever watched. They actually kissed in this drama and there were no dumb little small pecks or anything. The actors were not feeling awkward while in other dramas, you could see them being really awkward. ALSO I'M A FAN OF ENEMIES TO LOVERS TROPE!!! Honestly, I had no high expectations for this drama as some other people did. I thought it was just another average bl going on but SK really shocked me. I REALLY WISH THEY HAVE A SEASON 2 AND I CAN WAIT FOR IT!
PRODUCTION
The lighting was really good and OMG I LOVED THE BISEXUAL LIGHTING GOING ON EPISODE 7!
MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS
My favorite characters were ofc the main leads and Choi Yuna. I literally loved Choi Yuna so much. I wish she had more screen time. As for Ryu Ji Hye, I guess a lot of people hated her because she kept coming into their relationship but she was just clueless. Other than that, she was one of my favorites. I kind of understand why some people hated her though. I'm really glad Park Jae Chan chose to act in the drama and didn't ignore it because they had the best chemistry.
MUSIC
I have nothing much to say about the music but I loved the episode preview music and the intro music a lot. I liked all of them but again, I have nothing much about it so I'll rate it a 10.
REWATCH VALUE
I will be rewatching this drama again for my 2nd time but honestly, I hate rewatching dramas because I have a fear that I'll hate it then which is why I gave the rewatch value a 9.5.
THANK YOU FOR READING MY REVIEW!
I really tried my best to keep it spoiler-free so that other people who haven't tried it out can read my review and probably decide if it's really that good and if they should give it a try. I am not good at writing reviews but I hope this was an okay review.

Addictive
I watched the drama while I was reading the novel and also after I had seen the anime mini series, so I was really shocked on how well the actors portrayed the characters. The drama stayed true to the novel in most parts but cut off some important parts due to the 8 episode count. I loved the production and this has to be my favourite BL so far. The Male lead and Main Character showed their characters perfectly that I cannot think of a better person who could pull it off so effortlessly. Jang Jaeyoung was portrayed to the core making us understand his character through a mere 8 episodes and honestly Park Seoham and Park Jaechan honestly look so handsome that their looks enough were enough to keep the drama going. Their chemistry was sizzling and made the watch all the more better.
The character Jang Jaeyoung is said to be the most handsome dude in the campus and Chu Sangwoo to be the one who looks handsome enough but covers himself with a cap thus making me really happy about the casting. I loved the kisses, they somehow seemed to show the affection and love the characters felt for each other.
The ost was also amazing. It fit the parts where Jang Jaeyoung was literally acting like a virus in Chu Sangwoo's life with its devilish, slightly playboy music and the soft romantic songs in places where the scenes were sweet. The music fit appropriately in scenes and made them even more enjoyable.
Overall, it was a great drama that I keep going back to rewatch it and keep watching FMV's about it that I can safely say that I am quite obsessed with it.

This is a good start to watch KBL.
Honestly, I am very picky abt the movies I watch, especially in this kind of genre. I really can't afford to watch actors who were awkward even in acting. I don't even have a plan on watching any KBLs but for some reason, Semantic Error made me watch one and I am glad that I watched it. Semantic Error really is the standard. From the production to the actors and all the things that revolve in this drama is so good to me. I just watched some clips on youtube and I was intrigued and I find it cute too so I waited for the series to finish and watched yesterday Ep. 1 - Ep. 8. It was really a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I was embarrassed for a sec and then I am smiling and laughing and almost crying, it's hard to explain. I nearly cried when it ended. I read the webtoon and I can say that everything is meant to be what they are. Park Seoham and Park Jae-chan are living Jang Jaeyeong and Chu Sangwoo. I am so happy that they accepted the roles because I don't think anyone is as good as them for portraying Jaeyeong and Sangwoo. The OSTs are the best too. They really know when to put it and add more emotions. I just like everything abt this. I don't think I can move on easily, lmaaaaooo.Semantic Error is really the standard, y'all. My First KBL and they didn't disappoint me.

excellent!
I love this drama, in my opinion, its possible this could be one of the best bl dramas out there. Literally the love story between the two main characters is just amazing! An enemy to lover story like this just hits different, the way they somehow fall in love. Semantic error is based of a korean manga, they have not put any s3xual scenes or anything but the story is well done. I also recommend the novel. Theres only 8 episodes and im looking forward a season 2. This story is high school era im pretty sure. Just saying, the visuals are amazing too!Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
