The Legend of Loulan: Ghost Army (2021)

Watchable

First of all, I only wanted to watch this movie because of Wa Er and Liu Chang. And their acting didn't disappoint me (though Wa Er had not as much screen time as I had expected). However, the fl wasn't quite as good and there are these typical overacted characters which are either funny or just easily annoy you.
The story is definitely quite weird. However, imo it's this weirdness and partly absurdity which makes this movie an interesting watch. But you have to enjoy ancient China, Chinese Republican era and sci-fi all at the same time. Also there are some plot lines that seem dumb or not well thought out but the last big plot twist/revelation is fun - so please really watch till the end if you decide to watch this at all!
Unfortunately I can't really score the music as it was cut out in many scenes in the YouTube version I watched due to copyright issues. As for the rest of the soundtrack I can't really remember which means it was neither good nor bad.

Overall, it was an enjoyable movie. Nothing extraordinary good but nothing too bad either. You should watch it if you like Liu Chang or Wa Er and if you have 69 minutes spare time.

Not worth the watch.

I'd not like to stop someone who willingly wants to watch this title, bit if you're looking for a review from someone who watched it ,then I'd suggest you don't waste your time. This title wastes the effort of the actors playing their part. The story not only started off vague, but also does give you much insite of whats going on. I mainly watched this title for the cast. The only upside to this was, the fact that i got a more deeper look into their acting and the effort put by the main leads, namely Wa er and liu C. Thats all. I'll just say,Watch on your own accord.
