I like that it didn't focus on the romance between characters, rather it focused on the love between family members. This is a feel good drama for those who would like to see good looking guys going crazy over their child.

The show was originally slated for 80 or 85 episodes but ultimately ended with 73. This show is very funny and enjoyable and you get that each episode there is something to learn from it. And you feel like apart of the family, even though you are on the outside looking in. You get to know more about each character and watch as they better themselves. There is moments when you are so used to seeing a particular character, that when you don't see them you wonder where they are ad when you will see them again.
You will laugh, worry, gasp, smile, cry and wonder. As this drama takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. A kind of drama that will want you asking for more and wondering why not? Depending on how you take drama's in, you will either watch more then one a day, or end up going on a marathon then going omg it felt like yesterday i watched this episode when you are farther off from the beginning, and closer to the ending

Story: A unique story of two guys raising a daughter together.. and they're not gay XD Although the romantic love story lines were not the main focus in this drama, they were slowly developed and I loved the diversity of it. All 4 couples managed to capture my interest which is amazing! This may contain a bit of SPOILER.. From the little Bears cute adoration of Wendi, to Marcus and Amanda's chasing the girl of his dreams who is totally out of his league, to Cherry and Youwei's pet-like caring to appreciation to almost-love, to finally Megan and Leroy's hate turned friendship to soon-to-be-love relationship. Acting/Cast: It was the first time seeing a lot of the actors in this and I loved every one of them. Lucia was adorable as the daughter and she acted lovely. Great casting really! Special props to Amanda because there was a few episodes where she was clearly incredibly sick but she continued acting as normal - that's professional right there <3
Music: None of the songs used really appealed to me. The opening song didn't do much for me neither. But that doesn't matter because the drama was great.
Rewatch Value: Instead of re-watching, I'd wish they would have just continued this drama. It could easily have gone to 100 episodes with no problem and I would still have continued watching.
Overall: I really liked this drama!! It is not like any of those other dramas which focus all on romantic love. It has different kinds of love between parents, kids, siblings, and friends. This is a really funny, touching and loving drama.. with many moments that brought tears to my eyes..

So Adorable and Wholesome
I finally finished it after hiatus of 2 years, and I truly enjoyed this drama. It was so freaking wholesome and adorable and enjoyable; I love the interactions between the characters and the relationships in the love was portrayed. My only complaint is surprising that it was only 73 episodes, and I felt like the last three episodes could have been expanded so much more than what they gave.I felt like the connection between Zhen Hua and Yong Jie was so minuscule over the couple of episodes that they showed us, and I wish that I could have seen them and their story expand more than the last 5 minutes of the finale as well as the relationship between Xiang Xi and Jing Zhu. I would have loved to see them get married and see how the Dynamics of the relationship between Xiang Xi and Jing Zhu, along with Yong Jie being a sister and having Wendy with them. But I understand that the story was meant to focus on the family more so than the love relationships of the characters. While I love that Wen Di got to know her mom and the story compelled me to like her because she was so regretful, it still annoyed me to have come back and expect that the child would just want to leave with her.

Enjoyable Family Story
Despite its length (73 episode long!), I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. If you like family drama, I would recommend this one. The chemistry between the Papi, Daddy and the Daughter is right. I love watching their relationship and how they tackle daily life issues with a growing child without a mother. There is romance story in this drama, but it's not the main storyline. The story focuses more on family relationship. This drama is also fun to watch. There are funny moments, especially involving the Daddy and the teacher. OST is just so-so, no memorable songs that I want to play on my Apple music. As for rewatch value: I wouldn't rewatch this because it's just too long and I have so many more chinese drama on my list to watch... Oh well, maybe I would re-watch some funny scenes :) They really do make me laugh..Questa recensione ti è stata utile?

Wen-di will melt your heart. This was our first Taiwanese, and indeed our first East Asian drama and we have got hooked on ever since. Tang Xiang Xi and Wèn Zhen Hua's unlikely roles blend so well together. Zhen Hua's character is beautifully scripted and even better played. His shock at having lost Wen-di is palpable. Fang Jing Zhu and Xiang Xi's slow and unlikely romance makes you want them to be together. Ying Fan (Amanda) is lovable and funny as always. Xiang Xi rebuilding his relationship with his estranged father is very touching. Jing-Zhu's family is a very reassuring theme throughout the series. The only thing that is sad about the show is the talented artist Yong-Jie's loss of hearing. One would have thought she would be paired with Zhen Hua since he would be left alone after Tang Xiang Xi gets married but it was not to be. The return of Wen-di's mother is disturbing at first but the reconciliation is good. One wonders what might happen to Wen-di after the two fathers begin living their own separate lives, but the show leaves the future to your imagination. I think it may be time for Wen-di to begin living with her mother with Wen Zhen Hua always being there for her.
Overall this is a story that can be watched over and over again and will still make you smile each time.

Weaving Humor & Heart: The Endearing Tapestry of 'Two Fathers
If there's a show that personifies a warm hug, it has to be "Two Fathers". At the heart of its appeal is the charismatic Weber Yang, whose on-screen presence is just as magnetic as his real-life persona, adding a layer of genuine warmth and charm to the series. The drama holds a special place in my heart as my maiden voyage into Taiwanese dramas, setting a comforting precedent with its endearing narrative and light-hearted comedy. It remarkably managed to glue me to the screen for its entire length, a feat made even more notable considering its substantial episode count - a testament to its engaging content that never felt draggy or monotonous.
"Two Fathers" is akin to a cherished melody, offering a soothing familiarity with its repetitive yet comforting narrative arcs, almost urging viewers to come back for more. It's one of those rare shows that managed to beckon me for a re-watch, an experience that felt just as comforting the second time around.
Navigating through the complex territory of portraying same-sex parenting, the show finds itself in a precarious position of oscillating between progressive and perhaps unintentionally offensive undertones. It's a bit of a puzzle, attempting to decode its stand on the subject matter, offering an ambiguous stance that can be seen as both open-minded and slightly off-kilter. Yet, in its own unique manner, it tries to foster a dialogue, a characteristic that gives it an edge in the vast sea of dramas.
Above all, "Two Fathers" stands out for its humane portrayal of characters and situations, a breath of fresh air in a genre often marred by exaggerated conflicts and misunderstandings. It opts for a road less travelled, where disputes are resolved swiftly, misunderstandings are few, and the characters embody kindness, steering clear of cruelty or excessive negativity.
In a nutshell, "Two Fathers" is a sweet symphony of laughter, warmth, and affection, a show that embraces you with open arms, providing solace and smiles in abundance. A feel-good drama that feels like coming home, time and again.
