One has to understand this is not the usual crime busting drama. The viewer needs to understand how the detectives solved their cases by clues in the Japanese characters that were left behind by the victims. The story will then flows. The two main actresses managed to hold the plot together very well. and they were essential. Had a Galileo feel. Solving past and present murders together without initial apparent clues was what made this show interesting. Unlike the other episodes, the chess game in the middles was a little challenging for the average viewer to understand. The explanations of the linked murders required time for the subtitles to catch up. The drama picked up after that and was very good in the last three episodes holding all of us to the end. Overall a relaxing and yet entertaining watch.
