among the school series, I feel like 2013 match this the most.. it's like the 2 guys switched roles?

Both are about high school students. Both are really good dramas, not really centered around romance. However, there are some cute realitionships in both of them. Angry mom is more darker in my opinion.

Both dramas are similar in so many ways despite one korean and the other chinese
the korean drama has the same good teacher who wants to change the lives of his or her students for the better
both dramas have the same struggling students aspect from home to school and teacher helping them
Both dramas are emotional and very good family dramas not romantic

Both dramas are about school life but I Am Sam is more focused on the relationship between a student and teacher.

the drama narrates the story of a touching friends between two friends with a twisted and cruel fate
