A PROMISING PLOT THAT STARTED GREAT BUT WENT DOWN THE HILL
When I watched the trailer, it looks very promising. The first thing I noticed was Jia and David got infatuated so much which led to the two of them betraying Dana who falls in a coma. Second, the plot of two sisters that falls in love with same man is a throwback from the Filipino movies in the 1980s-1990s which is breath of fresh air for younger viewers who likes cliché dramas like me LMAO. Third, the trailer showed me three women (PLAYED BY ONE OF THE BEST ACTRESSES) connected to Adam but Amanda and her son shocked me the most because the thought of someone having sex with two people while married is an interesting plot for a series (but not in real life wtf). The trailer really made me think that they would show some culture of Chinese people and tackle the issues of adultery in the Philippines because divorce is not legal here (except for Muslims). I watched the first 35 episodes when the show's filming were stopped because of the COVID-19 pandemic and to my surprise, the plot was EXCELLENT. Though tbh, the wedding was a little bit cheap for my expectations because their company were portrayed as the biggest architecture services provider. In my opinion, the pandemic and the desist order of the government to the company somehow contributed to the cheap outcome of the other episodes. I was so sad because it is my first time to see a non-primetime teleserye (Filipino TV Series) to look so high-budgeted. Instead of focusing on the main plot, they focused more on confrontational scenes and provided another cliché drama. mysterious murderer, kidnapping the baby, fight for inheritance and another typical teleserye ending. I like that the two sisters forgave each other but the execution was super typical. The music is of course a revive but I was glad Regine Velasquez sang it because she is so good. I wished they made an OST Album like GMA that is filled with new songs that was composed originally for the TV Series. The acting as expected, SUPERB! The majority of the cast are famous for their good acting and they did not disappoint me. The names of Eula Valdez, Sunshine Cruz, Kim Chiu, Christopher De Leon, etc. are well known in the Philippines for GOOD ACTING. I might not re-watch it again honestly but I live for the confrontational scene of Kim Chiu wearing a yellow outfit.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
