Vision - Koroshi ga Mieru Onna (2012)

Just watched episode 10 of this~~
I know I have still 2 episodes left but I'm going to write this review XD

I don't know why people are saying that this is cheesy or boring or that the plot is lame :O

I think this is one of the most original j-dramas for a while. The plot is really good and there are mysteries coming all the time. Just the way I like it. And just the way a good drama is supposed to be.

The acting is superb and gives me cold chills all the time ! Not to mention the music that stays haunting in your head.

This is one hell of a short as a review but this is totally worth watching. Will watch last 2 episodes tomorrow and I'm afraid I won't be able to sleep well or concentrate at school tomorrow at all. Not that I normally would either :'D

To tell the truth, I watched this drama because of its title. The plot seemed original enough so I had high hopes for this drama. The story was great with all the potential of turning into something reminiscent of the X-files. But the drama predictably ended up being showcased in the typical Jdorama formulaic fashion.

The acting was mediocre considering the actors in this drama have a whooping range of five emotions; sullen, murderous, angry, scared, and frustrated. This drama's only standout is found in the character of Detective Sakisaka.

The music was this drama's saving grace, the bgm was wonderfully tasteful and totally unlike the usually annoying sounding loop music typical of jdorama mysteries.

If you like paranormal Science-Fiction, twisted mind games, and mad scientists(and the patience to survive the mediocre acting and the awful formulaic episodes), this one's for you.

I don't know if this show has 12 or 13 episodes, but if MDL says it's 12 so I can fairly say I completed this drama. As no one already wrote a review I feel I need to share my opinion on VISION.

First of all- I love mystery dramas so I started this drama with high expectations. Maybe I shouldn't have...

Story is kinda poor actually, of course in the beginning I was so hooked and wanted more and more, but as drama was in the middle it started to repeat itself over and over again. There were some twists but overall not too much and story started to be a little predictable. I was disappointed how the story developed, seriously I was so obvious! The whole science site of the story was good, I could believe that humans can achieve this kind of technology growth. But the whole game concept... don't make me laugh... >.< If you see this drama you know what I meant.

As for acting skills, not feeling the main lead actress, she was like wood to me. Actually I loved detective with glasses the most, his lines were great, I really could understand his character.

Loving the OST, main theme is beyond wonderful ^^

If you like mystery itself and you don't need logical closure this drama is for you.

you know when you start something bad and know it'll end up bad but have to finish it just so you have some closure?

well, this is the drama for you.

i figured this being yamada yu drama, i would enjoy it (as she's great with comedy) but dramatic roles, not so much.

story: the story started off very well but got extremely formulaic. you could actually watch the first ep and skip to 7, then the end if you didn't want to sit through 12 episodes.

the writers had a pretty interesting concept but that concept fizzled with the crappy thursday mystery formula (bad guy of the week) and i think they couldn't piece together a decent story while incorporating that element. i think if certain points of rena's childhood were fleshed out a bit in this drama, there would have been a bit more depth to her character than scared woman. it was actually irritating that none of these characters had much of a backstory and the one character that needed flashbacks, didn't get it. that made it hard to sympathize with with the cast.

cast: eh, you go to war with the weapons you got and that's what the cast did. over all the cast did an ok job but the one character that stuck out was the detective that worked with kazama. the rest of the cast was pretty forgettable, including yamada yuu (really sad)

music: the soundtrack was actually great. this is one of the few mystery shows that didn't have a cheesy opening/closing song and it's a shame it was wasted here.

overall: do you have 6 hours to waste? yes? jump on in.

recommendation" if you want to see yamada yuu in a better drama that showcases more of her acting skills, i'd recommend seigi no mikata or gakeppuchi no eri.

Science and Fantasy

A very unorthodox show, but definitely really interesting! The story is quite original, I can't really say I've seen anything like that, though this show does feel vaguely familiar the more I watched it. The characters were super intense, they all portrayed their roles which sometimes felt exaggerated but when you watch the story from episode one to the finale, their intensity and energy builds and builds until to the climax!


The music really fueled the suspense and mystery of the story. There were so many twists and turns, about 40% of them felt a little over the top and unbelievable but the rest of the show's story was really incredible to watch! The imagination of the creators, director, writers, and rest of the staff and actors/actresses during this show's filming was really wonderful. Everyone did their job so ridiculously well that the story automatically sucks you in from episode 1!


I do think this show is a little underrated, but that's probably because it's "an older show" (2012 is "older" now? lol) so a lot of the filming, fashion, characters, etc may feel a little outdated or may make some viewers see the show as "ridiculous" in some parts; which I can understand, but please do not let that stop you from watching a very intricate, interesting, and imaginative show that is full of the mysteries of the unexplained --- and science, too!

Every watch a drama and excitedly wait and watch every week but come to the last two episodes and start thinking WTH happened?!! If it was not for the last 2 episodes that were all over the place, this really would have been an excellent drama! The acting was okay. I have to say, I liked the lead male, Kaneko Nobuaki who played Kazama was pretty good; Yamada Yu, pretty as she may been was not as impressive. Sometimes her scenes felt disjointed and not believable. The weekly stories though were fantastic! I just shudder to think some mad man doing mass hypnosis! Scary, huh? But the ending episodes, especially the were not that well written. I was kind of disappointed as most of the JDramas I've watched have been good at wrapping up a drama. If you like crime stories, definitely watch this; if you are looking for something else, skip this!
