1) They have the same vibe, Shujin-ko just has calmer energy + 2 of them is pure gold <3
2) We can see challenges of every single character in both of two shows, not only 'main leads',, everybody is important here.
3) Also these characters work for their struggles.
4) Both shows represent storyline and people realisticly.
5) They have lgbt+ characters.

they definitely have similar vibe, also both of story is about growing, learning and maybe trying their best.. they're soft, pure and feel-good dramas. They both have lgbt couple also

These 2 shows looks each other so much, they are people which we see their journeys/challanges in every episode in different ways.. and both show has a bl couple. But Shujin-ko is a calmer drama and The Lover has more chaotic atmosphere but after all, they have a similar energy <3

Similarly, both dramas include a group of people, who are dealing with different problems. Furthermore, both also include LGBTQ+ topics like coming out and dating the same sex.

shujinko reminded me a lot of around 1/4 because it is centered around a group of friends who each have their own storylines but they cross ccasionally . Around 1/4 would be the more mature and adult centered version of shujinko

Character develepments, life lessons, human relationships, growing, working life and all.. our main character is similar in both series + both series include bromance/lgbt

Both being Japanese school dramas, they both have a very similar atmospheres. And they both pursue an underlying narrative of understanding others. Some of the character types resemble each other (although in a more serious manner in Shujin-Ko). While there is a BL storyline in both, it’s a side story in shujin-ko, rather than the main relationship (like it is in Kieta Hatsukoi), but the concerns and conclusion of both resemble each other greatly.

While 30sai focuses more on the BL romance in an office setting, Shujin-ko has multiple mains with one storyline being a BL also. I recommend both because they both have a refreshing take on BL that I can't really elaborate well without spoiling haha (especially Shujin-ko)
